Why would Irre do that?Gonzo wrote:I think irre, ksen or shizz is the next most logical lynch. I am most in favor of lynching irre because she jumped on mantis' wagon when she realized the DP wagon wasn't picking up steam so she started the mantis wagon with the 2nd vote. ##vote irre##

Re: Discworld Day 2
Did UT give out any special tells? I doubt it. I once vig killed him when he was a special. I think it makes him look scummy. However I don;t know the inventor role. Not sure that it's that significant.r.c wrote:amok wrote:
Oblivion, I'm going to assume until I learn differently at The End, that you were with Town.
I'm not so sure about that. A protown sk is equivalent to a vig killer who I think would abstain from killing until they are reasonably sure about the alignment of the player . Although Ob killing UT could have been to narrow down the scum players in Mantis' bw.
Scum killing Ob was a bit unexpected. If there were two scum players in the Mantis bw, scum would try to keep the other players in the bw alive. In the light of that, I'm more inclined to think that there is only one scum in the bw. And with an Sk in the game, there is most likely only 3 scum.
I think Ob was thinking, like me, that UT was scum and killed him. Ob has a history of turning indy roles in to town support roles. Her play on balance appears pro town. Her judgement is questionable on day 1. Whose isn't. Scum would definitely want rid of her before she started picking up the scent. I think Ob killed UT. Scum killed Ob. I'd be looking for who was most likely to kill Ob. The mantis bw is data for later. We have no idea how many scum on it. 0,1,2,3? Who knows. My guess. 1.

Doesn't to me. A player who had made a big noise about win conditions and voting on that basis suddenly looking to hide a vote in the chaos. Seems unlikelyLinus wrote:That makes more sense to me.Athene wrote:Would a scum irre see mantis as a safe place to park a vote?

Re: Discworld Day 2
Someone needs to generate some discussion around here like zigmen did last game.
For all his misjudgements, he did generate discussion.

Currently he is not on top of my scum list. I still feel the same way when I posted this yesterdayLinus wrote:rc, what's your read on gonzo?
I guess we need to concentrate on the surviving members of the Mantis bw. amok, irre, ksen and bnew.r.c wrote:I don't think you can read much about a player just through one game, but what I observed of Gonzo while he was scum in the Stargate game was that he would go after a single player (divagreen in the stargate game). I don't see a similar gameplay in this game.
Re: Discworld Day 2
A bit of color...
End-of-day counts:
mantis: 6 (amok, irre, oblivion, ut, bnew, ksen)
ut: 3 (mz, mantis, athene)
linus: 2 (feck, gonzo)
dp: 2 (linus, shizzle)
shizzle: 1 (rc)
irre: 1 (dp)
Targets:
amok [1 1 1]: mantis
athene [1 1 1]: ut
bnew [1 1 1]: mantis
dp [3 2 1]: irre, null, irre
feck [1 1 1]: linus
gonzo [4 4 4]: rc, athene, shizzle, linus
irre [4 3 3]: oblivion, dp, null, mantis
ksen [1 1 1]: mantis
linus [1 1 1]: dp
mantis [3 2 2]: rc, null, ut
mz [1 1 1]: ut
oblivion [5 3 3]: feck, null, mz, null, mantis
rc [1 1 1]: shizzle
shizzle [1 1 1]: dp
ut [2 2 2]: mz, mantis
The votes from rc, bnew, athene, ksen were too late to be likely to influence the lynch, and mostly registers opinions (maybe sincere, maybe not). If ksen simply copied oblivion's vote, I'd consider that role neutral in light of my impression from recent games that he has become a followy player.
If dp is town, then no scum player was under serious vote pressure yesterday (though this point may be less persuasive for those uncertain about my alignment).

Re: Discworld Day 2
RC you make the assumption that there are scum on the Mantis BW ..Why ?

Why must she have been hit by scum? Or anything else? I read it as her eating UT was the cause of her death. So I was thinking UT invented something to kill anyone who NKed him.Gonzo wrote:So... For the two cardflips Ob must have made a kill before she was hit by scum... or there is a vigilante?

Guys, I think I was blocked last night.
Re: Discworld Day 2
Welp, with Oblivion dead and all I'm wondering what's the point of you even saying this. Unless it's an excuse to let everyone know that you must be town because you got the VT notification. Reads a little forced.Linus wrote:Can you relate?ksen wrote:Ok . . . so?Linus wrote:BTW, I infer from my win condition that Oblivion was a town-compatible SK.
