ksen, are you going to ask for a sub or can you play from now on?
Re: Discworld Nightchat/Night 1
After reading the end of Day 1 I think there are other players who look much worse than Linus at this point. At least during the DP/irre fighting he made a defense for his post saying that he had him onpar with others as scummy. Still, that's just calling a person scummy. Linus never really had much evidence and was apparently relying on his own read, so I'm still unsure about him.oblivion wrote:Gonzo, you have Linus in your unsure pile and yet you lynch voted him. Why is that?

Wrong. I was talking about this post:oblivion wrote:I think gonzo said you were followy and he was talking about this post:BarnettNewman wrote:How's that UT. OB says I was a follow, so which is it? I gave the best day one analysis possible. the damnit, sorry mantis is classic reverse cheerleading.BarnettNewman wrote:Damn it! Second time in a row. Sorry mantis.oblivion wrote:bullshit.Gonzo wrote:amok and irre were the only players who bothered to explain their votes on mantis
I didn't put it all in one post, but there were about 3 posts by me within a 30-45 minute timeframe, and at least two of them were about my suspicions of mantis.
I gave an explanation and in the available time did my best. I honestly don't think there is anything to go on, so explain what exactly? Now that we have a final voting pattern that will tell us a good deal more as OB's analysis above shows. We have more to go on in day 2.
from what I've seen at ratz, players who started at ratskep tend to do this sort of posting at first. Some never get out of the habit, even though it sometimes results in getting lynched.

Here are my observations of the players I know:
Irre, UT, MZ, and rc are all playing their generally regular game, though Mantis seems aggressive and unusual as commented before. UT is playing his town game, MZ is always hard to read so I am unsure at the mo. Irre seems to be making the most effort at scum hunting.
Given that I know few of you and your play, and most of the FoS seem to be based on that, I can't really bring more to the table with regards to this players.
I will have to agree with the trend and I hope to goodness I am right as the last lynch vote of Mantis on RatSkep flipped town (my reasons were different for that one).

Re: Discworld Nightchat/Night 1
I recently read Zigmen say either here or on TR that he handcrafts all of his role PMs so that they are all somehow distinct from eachother. I doubt win conditions vary, though.Feck wrote:Irre's clearness depends on if Zig gives out the town win condition to the scum team ... as there wasn't much of one I don't know if he would , also since I at least knew what Irre was hinting at .
Zig may have given out more than one win condition phrase ..... that's the problem with playing by role PM hints and why i've argued against it before .
Gonzo also has a point ,if there is a difference between the Vanilla town PMs and town Role PMs then outing your PM details can help scum hunt seers blockers etc .

How did you think DP compared with Barnett and ksen (at the time of page 18, day 1)?

So... For the two cardflips Ob must have made a kill before she was hit by scum... or there is a vigilante?

Re: Discworld Day 2
BTW, I infer from my win condition that Oblivion was a town-compatible SK.
Re: Discworld Day 2
I think irre, ksen or shizz is the next most logical lynch. I am most in favor of lynching irre because she jumped on mantis' wagon when she realized the DP wagon wasn't picking up steam so she started the mantis wagon with the 2nd vote. ##vote irre##

Oblivion, I'm going to assume until I learn differently at The End, that you were with Town.
I'm not so sure about that. A protown sk is equivalent to a vig killer who I think would abstain from killing until they are reasonably sure about the alignment of the player . Although Ob killing UT could have been to narrow down the scum players in Mantis' bw.
Scum killing Ob was a bit unexpected. If there were two scum players in the Mantis bw, scum would try to keep the other players in the bw alive. In the light of that, I'm more inclined to think that there is only one scum in the bw. And with an Sk in the game, there is most likely only 3 scum.

Nice to know you're around. Just before irre revoted, very late in day 1, the count was:Gonzo wrote:I think irre, ksen or shizz is the next most logical lynch. linus: 2 (feck, gonzo)
dp: 2 (linus, shizzle)
ut: 1 (mz)
mantis: 1 (amok)
irre: 1 (dp)
mz: 1 (ut)

Not sure I buy that a scum irre thought the DP BW had poor chances.
Re: Discworld Day 2
Would a scum irre see mantis as a safe place to park a vote?
