Oh I think it is likely that scum placed one vote only if another scum member had votes on them ,think why add your vote if you know they BW is on a player you know will flip town ?
yeah...should see if I can dig up people who FoSed mantis earlier in the game, but went other directions as that final flurry of votes came in.

hmm.
Wow. I now understand what Feck was saying. Very much hmm.

Irre mayor voted mantis: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p979520
says her play looks townish: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p979606
Takes exception to mantis' comment about it being more irre's scum game to vote mayor: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980210
Irre changes her mayor vote from mantis to feck: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980265
Irre notes that Mantis taking her vote off r.c left Gonzo in a quick scramble to move his vote (he moved it to athene): http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980261
Irre notes that dp and mantis' vote changes after the win condition talk looked suspicious: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980263
Irre is waiting for that mayor vote research: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980288
Irre votes mantis right after I say I'm still bugged and amok puts a vote down: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980682

Irre's changing pov and the reasons for it are extremely well documented in her posts. she was an open book for the most part. For this reason, along with her concerns raised about the town win condition, she's in my town pile.

MZ FoSes mantis for the r.c vote: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p979600
MZ says he's getting a town vibe from her: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980376
^^ His poorly explained about face concerns me.

Barnett posts about mantis' different style from ratskep: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p979690
Barnett rounds up his suspicions, puts a vote down on mantis, with a bit of hedge: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980783
I'd like to hear from ratskep players about whether barnett usually hedges his votes. There are some n00b characteristics to his play, but he also has made some pretty astute observations, which makes me think he's an experienced ratskep player showing some of the typical characteristics of ratskep players starting to play ratz games.

rc compares her play to the old west game where she was scum: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980053
rc says she's the next player he would vote: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980736
^^ he's one who fosed mantis but voted someone else. (mattshizzle)

I say she's the third player on my list of players I'm concerned about: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980101
I say she's still bugging me: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980615
I vote mantis right after irre: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980697
I'll let someone else decide how that looks.

Gonzo asks about her voting Barnett for mayor: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980177
(the interesting thing being that Gonzo also voted Barnett for mayor...)
Amok lays out her vote in one post: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980674
(I don't think she had much to say about mantis outside of this one post.)

UT asks for reads on her: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980098
UT whiteknights mantis: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980299
UT does a 180, votes mantis and says her game looks really off: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980778
^^ this looks more than a little odd.

Athene whiteknights mantis: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980772

ksen votes mantis: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... is#p980804

Hopefully I found all references to mantis with that search.

This kinda spotlights MZ, Gonzo and UT. There are other players on the edges - Mattshizzle, Athene, ksen whose level of participation haven't left me with a warm fuzzy, though I'm not holding it against Athene and ksen given their health.

My thoughts.

Re: Barnett. I'm torn, because I remember my first game here, having learned the game on RatSkep. His "mistakes" remind me very much of my early mistakes here (I actually had to look up phrases such as "cheerleading" and "reverse cheerleading." Both get much more a pass on RatSkep, for one reason or another. Also, I didn't understand the mayor voting thing as much as I do now, and I also panic voted, because I was so used to getting penalty votes against us for NOT voting. I'm only learning (and it's not a done deal), how to be more stoney-faced here.

Anyway. That's Barnett.

Re-reading, I'm quite sure Irre and Feck and Oblivion are Town.

I'm slightly worried about both DP and UT, for different reasons.

DP missed (or misrepresented) something about me in his first post, and has since white-knighted me slightly, for no apparent reason.

UT is still FOSing me while apparently either ignoring or missing the fact that Mantis and I both said the same stuff about the win condition.

The rest of the crew, I'm just not sure. I couldn't find substantial things said by anyone on the Mantis BW or the other BWs.

I'm shooting this out just on the off chance I'm bumped off overnight. But please, keep in mind I don't have enough information yet to make any of this important. They are just my early thoughts.

DP's interest in the way the bandwagons formed seems unusual to me. I'm probably full of shit, but it's given me a town vibe.

Feck, too.

My town pile consists of Irre, Feck, Amok
leaning kind of townish atm, DP, Linus

I think I'd be leaning more townish re Gonzo if I hadn't noticed that he put a mayor vote on Barnett and then questioned Linus and mantis for doing the same thing.

I agree mostly with your list Ob. With the change that I still don't have a good read on linus and am feeling kinda townish on mz atm.

Discworld Day 2

Post by Zigmen » Tue Sep 20, 2011 3:52 am

The sunrise brings the sluggish advance of light, which travels impossibly slowly due to the immense magical fields of the Discworld. Eventually, enough of the glow reaches our little corner of Ankh-Morpork, and illuminates a hapless victim, or rather a void in the muddy road in the shape of the somewhat mad creator. There's nothing left of him, but the hole he left is unmistakable.

UT is dead. He was Bloody Stupid Johnson, inventor for Town.
Alas, Town will not see any more benefit from him.

Nearby, you think you may have spotted the cause of the missing landscape; a filthy old piece of luggage with a reputation for devouring anything it wishes, regardless of size.

Oblivion was The Luggage and was Indy SK.

Today runs 24 hours and will end at midnight EST tomorrow.

Irre is you mayor.

The living:

1. Feck
2. Gonzo
3. MattShizzle
4. MZ
5. Athene
6. Amok
8. DP
9. Ksen
10. Linus
12. r.c
14. Irre
15. Barnett

The bleedin' demised:

7. Oblivion - The Luggage, Indy SK
11. Mantisdreamz - Lady Ramkin, Town
13. UT - Bloody Stupid Johnson, Town Inventor

That's a shock.

The Luggage? The Luggage? Oh, Oblivion!

I was sure if there was an SK, it would have been Death.

OK, deep breaths.

Twenty-four hours, eh?

Time to think. Goodnight for now.

UT, thanks. Oblivion, I'm going to assume until I learn differently at The End, that you were with Town.
