Remember, you're the ones who claim you're "rational."

It's not about how I feel. It's about how you acted. Corporate "you," of course, but I do note that you personally were one of the ones who quoted the rules at me and got all huffy when I pointed out I wasn't stupid.

I was harassed, and when I protested corporate you clamped down on me.

Sorry, that's not working for me.
I think what you're saying is that some posters have been gaming the system by subtly sneaking in personal attacks and you responded by gaming the system more obviously.

While this may have seemed idea good idea at the time, the effect is that your name-calling caught out attention while other members' name calling did not.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

No, I wasn't subtle at all. You're assuming facts not in evidence, among early faults in your argument.

All I want is an assurance I won't be cut off from a community whose opinion I value because some fucking crank decides to harass me. I don't know what else to say to you. Either you believe it or you don't. But if you don't, or even if you don't demonstrate it to me, then I can't afford the risk of posting here.

It's your call.

That it takes more than 30 seconds to respond to that is a fail.

In the history of this forum we have permanently banned one person, your chances of being cut off are therefore quite slim. I won't say impossible, but you would have to work very hard to achieve it.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Forum is pretty quiet for a couple of hours in the middle of the night(GMT), picks up again then as it comes into morning.

To be quite honest, I find your caterwauling, your monotonous exclamations of "first lie" and "gaming the system" and your repeated announcements that you will leave unless changes are made so tedious, that I will not miss you if you decide to leave. Which way you decide is of course your call.

Since you are most unlikely to succeed with your attempts to rejig this forum to your liking, it may be a good idea for you to retire from it purely for the sake of your health.

I think it means "Edited to add:"

I've mostly seen "Edit:" in use around here.

Edit: I am speaking as a member in this thread and not as a staff unless I specifically state otherwise.

I didn't say you were subtle.. I used the words 'more obviously" and I prefaced my statement with "I think". I was submitting my thoughts for clarification.

It took me a week to ask a question that a moderator saw fit to seek revenge for me asking. A bunch of other staff are now engaged in trying to get rid of me too.

Just sayin'.

Edited To Add. It's an abbreviation. EATA means Edited Again To Add.

Do you have answers for my questions now?

No one on staff is trying to make you leave, I'm sorry you feel like we are but it's just not true.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life
