I was told this weekend by my friends who have left everything they own to get the fuck out of Egypt that the IDF have been crossing into Egyptian desert to attack ' terrorist training camps'

The situation now is that the Egyptians really don't like Israel. Even when you are an ally, Israel will kill you & screw you because you aren't Jewish, which is basically how the Egyptians view it (Israel murdered several Egyptian police officers). Turkey has also cut off all ties with Israel because the it won't apologize for murdering Turkish citizens. Turkey has also said that it will provide military escort for Turkish ships going to Gaza. So basically, Egypt and Turkey were once friends of Israel but because Israel is an apartheid state for Jews, it is now completely isolated in the Middle East. I have already seen the Israeli media going into over drive with articles calling Egyptians and Turks anti-Semites.

Here, I basically agree with Gawd. Israel has behaved with absurd arrogance in recent times, and is slowly but surely reducing the list of countries that will support it all over the world.

This doesn't change the fact that many of its enemies are evil fundamentalist arseholes...

Does Israel have a choice? It's ALWAYS been surrounded by enemies who want to destroy it and kill every single Jew in Israel. Egypt was never a friend to the Jews, it was at best warily neutral under Mubarak in part because the US showered foreign aid and assistance on Egypt in return for taking a neutral stance regarding Israel. Turkey doesn't border Israel and therefore is not a real factor.

Israel took it's hard-line stance after the open attempt to exterminate everyone in the country in 1968, and it's been forced to keep that stance by the genocidal hostility of every Arab in the region ever since.

I don't blame Israel a bit for it's highly militant and uncompromising stance, because none of its neighbors has the slightest interest in living in peace with Israel, and the only thing preventing another full-on war is the knowledge that Israel has nuclear weapons, and will use them, and that the United States supports Israel.

I think they should just all move to the UK, get free medical care, a council flat and job seekers allowance. It's the only fair response - after all, it's the Brit's fault Israel is there in the first place.

That's OK, no Jews will be allowed in Palestine. Probably for the best that they stay separate, and Israel probably should expel the rest of the Muslims living there.
