St Andrews student sentenced for Israel flag racism

A student at St Andrews University who was found guilty of a racist breach of the peace after he insulted the Israeli flag has been given community service.

Paul Donnachie, 19, has been sentenced to 150 hours for putting his hands down his trousers before rubbing them on Jewish student Chanan Reitblat's flag.

Donnachie also accused Mr Reitblat of being a terrorist during the incident at the halls of residence in March.

Donnachie was also ordered to pay Mr Reitblat £300 in compensation.

The student was earlier expelled from St Andrews University.

Outside the court Donnachie stood with pro-Palestinian campaigners who had defaced Israeli flags with red paint.

I don't think it's simply a matter of insulting the flag, more genuinely despicable abuse (calling him a terrorist) in which the flag played a part.

Donnachie sounds like a massive cunt as well, especially accusing the victim of being greedy, as far as a case of antisemitism goes it seems quite straightforward.

Seeing how difficult it is to get into St. Andrews (or any equivalent Oxbridge college), I reckon him torpedoing his own education prospects is a much worse punishment than community service.

No I didn't, but I was eligible for free tuition in Scotland so I did consider applying for Edinburgh and St Andrews, but then I remembered that Scotland is cold and racist.

Seeing how difficult it is to get into St. Andrews (or any equivalent Oxbridge college), I reckon him torpedoing his own education prospects is a much worse punishment than community service.

St Andrews is NOT an Oxbridge equivalent FFS . The ONLY discipline that St Andrews has a quality course in is green-keeping .

Yep, I recall some friends and I were out drinking in their union bar years ago when some chinless rugger buggerers started to try and harrass us for being in the place when we were from Glasgow. I'm, 6' 5 and did kickboxing at the time and my two pals were both well into martial arts so we left rather than cause any trouble. They foolishly followed us outside and the lead mouth shoved one of my friends at which point said mouth ended up on the ground with blood pouring out his nose. I swear one of them said "you can't do that, his Father is a Magistrate!" as they picked him off the ground.

Quite a few of those privileged twats could do with a kicking and the occassional stint in jail.

Excuse me! I can use consonants and I speak through my mouth not my nose and own no lard encrusted sportswear, there is a world of difference between weegies and Glaswegians. Mind you we all like a bit of violence.
