I hope some of them tested those vests before the fighting started.

Sure, but they're Taliban rebels. They are our enemy, and they are the enemy of the current, Parliamentary Democratic, government of Afghanistan, and the goal of the Taliban is to install another theocracy, like before 2002. So, in this case, the rebels are the bad guys. In Libya, the rebels are supposedly looking to throw off a 40 year dictator, and install a more representative system of government. To the extent those rebels in Libya want a theocracy too, then they will be opposed by the West.Gawd wrote:Look who is calling the kettle black. I sort of want to ask Gawd his opinion of Timothy McVeigh but I fear the infinite recursion may break the internet...

Muslims good, Jewmerkins bad.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Would you care to explain how the Taliban are interested in anyone's freedom? Besides their own freedom to seize power in Afghanistan again, that is.Gawd wrote:Look who is calling the kettle black. They are freedom fighters like the Libyan rebels, only anti-American.
If they're fighting the Americans, I guess that means by default they're the good guys, huh?

So, you want Afghanistan should be run by the Taliban again?
Do you have a sister or a daughter? Maybe a female friend or a wife or a niece or aunt? Would you really want them to live under the Taliban?

Wait for Gawd's response that western culture is just as bad relative to women because of the way it objectifies them and uses them in pornography....3....2....1....Robert_S wrote:So, you want Afghanistan should be run by the Taliban again?

Gawd doesn't actually think about such things. Thinking might cause cognitive dissonance and discomfort. He just says.Robert_S wrote:So, you want Afghanistan should be run by the Taliban again?

First and foremost, the Jews and the Americans must be all hated and fought. And if the people fighting them are Al Qaeda, or the Taliban, or cannibalistic paedophile zombies, that's the side he supports. Why let thinking get in the way?

Re: US Embassy in Kabul Under Attack
If they are freedom fighters, which is stretching a point even for you, then their legitimate targets would be the troops that are 'oppressing' them, not the civilian diplomats in a foreign embassy. Your analogy, I am very much afraid, is a pile of wank.Gawd wrote:Look who is calling the kettle black. They are freedom fighters like the Libyan rebels, only anti-American.
