"Being normal isn't a virtue. In fact it rather denotes a lack of courage."

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

What if you've got a normal amount of courage? Does that denote a lack of courage?
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

It denotes a certain lack of stupid. Courageous people frequently get killed, or worse, get other people killed. I don't recommend it.

Nelson would have been afraid of ten thousand fleas, but a flea wouldn't be afraid of ten thousand Nelsons.

More Maxims of Mark, Johnson, 1927
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
