I'd also like five minutes alone with the person that dropped her there. You folks might want to turn the TV up real loud, like.
"betrayal of trust" or "much needed assistance".

Tomorrow is the day if she co-operates. She was
this morning, waiting for me to break breakfast. She doesn't hide when people come around, that was my big hint that she could be rescued.

Much needed assistance, but the cat might not see it that way at first.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

She was very happy to see me this morning. She didn't back down when I came within ten feet of her, just sat there cussing at me in Lingua Felinica for being late. Then, when I sat down she marched right up. She likes people when they don't scare her.Robert_S wrote:Much needed assistance, but the cat might not see it that way at first.

The only thumps would be clods hitting the top of the pine box. The White Mice taught me some interesting things.Callan wrote:Oh yes. Definitely much needed assistance.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain

She's declawed, trap her. Declawing is hardly ever done in the uk and I guess if there was a cat coping here that didn't seem to be hanging out for cuddles I'd leave it be. But it has to be different for mutilated animals, especially if they started tame.
Go for it, nap it!

"Whatever it is, it spits and it goes 'WAAARGHHHHHHHH' - that's probably enough to suggest you shouldn't argue with it." Mousy.

Declawing is done here at the same times as spay/neuter, so I'm semi-confident she's been fixed. That will be a plus for a prospective adopter.floppit wrote:She's declawed, trap her. I may be in trouble, however, when I was looking at the no-kill list I saw that they needed foster parents.
Must talk to Ayaan.
Or present her with a fait accompli.

Not in the cards, I'm afraid. I'm feeding ~13 cats right now.charlou wrote:I left this thread last night thinking the zilla/Ayaan household may well be another cat greater ...Gawdzilla wrote:Must talk to Ayaan.
