That TV programme seems to have completely slipped by without my noticing! What channel was that on?
UTV I think. It was ages ago. You probably only had two stations back then.

I am old enough to remember 1 Channel in Ireland, which started at about 5pm, and finished at about 11.30.

Bloody religious crap all over it too.

RTE2 was launched in late 78. So I had nearly 5 years of one-channel land... mind you, it was all shite then. For the most part, "animation" for children from behind the iron curtain. (Very frightening, and not in the slightest bit child-centric).

Mind you, it did have Sesame Street, and sometimes we'd have special morning broadcasts to tell us what to do if there was a nuclear war. (Which would have hit the UK generally, but some particular targets in Ireland too - airports and ports and the like...).

Ah, Misfits. Yeah a show that was surprised me by being funnier and more engaging than it had any right to be.

I think it takes some balls to get a lines like "I saw you cure that guy in the wheelchair, that's like healing two normals" or "It was an accident, she was rubbing my cock and she started foaming at the mouth and then she tripped and impaled herself on her mother teresa young humanitarian of the year award. I know it seems unlikely, but there it is" on TV.
