Taiwan announced this missile the same day that China announced the beginning of sea trials for their first aircraft carrier.

Total coincidence, I'm sure. :spock:

In other news, this is set to be one of the most important news stories of the week that most people will never hear about:

That aircraft carrier is useless, it could be taken out by an ICBM.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

This is the defense policy equivalent of making your profile picture a photo of you receiving fellatio from your new girlfriend and printing out 5,000 copies and FedExing them to your ex-girlfriend's house. And then setting off an air horn.

You'll have to ask Gawd, he's our strategic weapons expert.

Doesn't Iran also have a warship sinker? If I recall correctly, it is a wave topping cruise missile, which is undetectable on radar.
