I point back to my earlier remark about the origin of makeup and certain types of dress: they originate in emphasising sexuality. That's what fashion mags sell: aspirations of sexiness. Hence why it is inappropriate for them to present a child as an object worth this aspiration, as if she is a viable sexual being.
