From Demimonde: "Me too! Also OMG I love your avatar! That is one of my favorite images that I have used like crazy."

Hehehehe. Yes, I normally change my av on here frequently, and to follow the game flavours, but I love my screaming blonde. I'd love to go back to FF and play another mafia, but I just don't have the stamina for such long games.

I've signed up for the next one, though I may chicken out because I think I'd have a meltdown if I'm scum again in a long game anytime soon.irretating wrote:Hehehehe. but, I did learn a little bit about pacing myself in the last game. you and I (and charlou to some extent) were wearing ourselves out in the drew game. We'd start the new game day like we had 24 hours to reach a decision. we'd beat each other up because for the most part we were the only players in the thread. 3 days later we were out of steam and the FF regulars were just starting to warm up.
When the first gameday of the recent game lasted almost a month, I got it through my thick scull that nothing was going to be settled in a day or even a week. and I adapted to the pace, and even started to take advantage of it.
Re: Hitman: Blood Money Mafia sign up & Peanut Gallery
After Nancy Drew I didn't think I would either (I enjoyed that game, but had trouble adjusting to the pace and the voting format) ... but thought I'd give it another go with the GiTS game ... I know I've (and others) joked about the interminable duration of the days, but I really did find I could adapt to it far better second time round. I decided to think of it like a project that requires time and patience, and have actually come to appreciate it as an alternative style of mafia. I like the voting format too .. it requires greater amount of discussion, tactical maneuvring and manipulation, and compromise, without seeming to skew the game towards any one side. I think the players there, including myself, could do with developing trust sooner, though, in order for that to reach its potential for town. This has not happened in either of the games I've played.irretating wrote:Hehehehe. Yes, I normally change my av on here frequently, and to follow the game flavours, but I love my screaming blonde. Anyway, upshot is, I'd like to see you give it another go ... I'm planning on taking a break from mafia for at least a few weeks, but would like to play a longer game at FF with you again some time in the future.

I did wonder how you two could line up for another epic mafia straight after Nancy Drew! OK, I'll consider playing another.
FF mafia was the first experience for me of slimy scum play. I still haven't fully come to grips with it, because it's not something I'd do. As I'm in two games right now, I shouldn't say anything more. But I'll be interested in your views post-game.

Great avatar, Feck.
Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement.

I know, Feck. I thought about that, too.Feck wrote:Well at least if was the curb not someone's childJust finished changing my tire. I turned too sharply while glancing at the phone and my back tire hit the curb.
I was doing several things at once while try to keep up. Feeling kinda low about it. Like one of "those people" if you know what I mean.
Definitely switching to a "no smart phone" policy while driving or at least not trying to read the screen even for a moment when behind the wheel.
