What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

how is publishing pictures defamation ? either she did look like that when the picture was taken or she didn't A public figure can't sue someone for taking an unflattering picture .

That is how I'd defend it.

But then there is the intellectual property in the photos. That belongs to the person who took the photos, or to the person who contracted with the photographer to take them,(if the photographer gave up the IP rights).
