Yes, we do. And anger.

I'm sure they pulled the strings somehow. After all, they control the media and international banking. I read it in the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. :prof:

:spock: Emotions are unnecessary for compassion, reason and the magnitude of the destructive potential available in this universe are necessary. Seth is learning these days that things like small glass vials are louder than bombs - give him time to realise his predictament. :spock:

I hate how media is already taking all the advantage of this tragedy, posting pictures of bloody people and trying to sell their sorrow. This was really a jackpot for the yellow press. :nono:

Yes, quite strong ones on this subject in particular. You see, I was at Columbine the day of the shooting. I interviewed witnesses. I saw the blood on the street. I will eternally regret that I was not in the building at the time so that I could have acted to save lives. That's why I speak out so strongly against the idiocy of disarmament of law-abiding citizens, because I have seen first-hand the carnage that results when a government does this. Remaining silent is not an option for me precisely because of the emotions that such attacks engender in me, and the frustration I feel towards those who cannot understand simple cause and effect.

Evidence of the libertarian bent? I've read he was a "nationalist" - Christian Conservative with sort of a Nazi bent - hardly, libertarian. I could be wrong though. Have a link?

Eriku wrote: Your pettiness in this thread is astounding. I've tried to argue as best as I can for the continued Norwegian mode of thinking in matters like these, and have pointed to stats that tell us that Norway is in no-way being generally overrun by people with guns preying on those without. All I get back is "morons", and how we're "ignorant" and that I'm stupid and deserve to be slaughtered like a sheep.

You really need to sort your hateful self out.
Norway has a very low intentional homicide rate -- 0.64. Even for Europe, that's low. So, they are a peaceful people, and the lack of guns in the hands of citizens, in the case of Norway, does not appear to be causing Norwegians to be victimized. It might have in this case, though. I can't help wishing someone plugged this guy before he could reload.
