Perhaps you'd like some of our soggy Vancouver weather for a bit? Although it's a bit drier (and colder) than usual here too... February was actually bearable this year!
California has had the third dry winter in a row. Apparently they've declared a water shortage emergency recently... this summer might be baaaaad...
Last summer was bad enough already -- a couple small grassfires in the coastal town my parents live in even... grassfires are not supposed to happen on the San Francisco coast!!! And then either last summer and/or the one before it was some nasty fires in the south...
Speaking of strange weather, when I was in Russia in 2002, they had some severe peat and forest fires there. Was dry, Moscow's reservoir levels were the lowest since a big drought in the 70's... meanwhile, central Europe was under a couple metres of water in places
