The PM says that town wins when all the investigators have been killed. It does not talk about threats to town. It specifically says investigators. What do you make of this?

Do you think aza fucked up in our role pms and the pg by putting sacrifice investigators when he should have written 'eliminate all enemies'?

If we have an investigator left it's either you or r.c, U.T seems pretty solidly cleared.

I'm thinking if b.tern wants usto think she's town she should refrain from a NK tonight. I think town has a handle on this game and I trust ksen and mantis huge amounts more than b.tern.
You forget who town are, flavourwise. Town is Innsmouth denizens, they have fishy faces and gill slits, and worship Dagon (per Lovecraft, another name for Cthulhu). Nyarlathotep's role in the world has to do with recruiting humans, not the likes of the Innsmouth townies. Which you are. Or were.

Athene hasn't been 'recruited'; the word is not used in my pm. The roles seem to me considerably more like the 'Lovers' role than the Cult/Mentor roles UT suspects. If it were a role like Cult/Mentor, I'm pretty sure I'd have at least enough control that she wouldn't out me at a crucial point in the game.

Also may I note that that long after Nightfall is a bit late to be making suggestions re my night move. I waited quite a while specifically to see what people had to say.

huh, this is too bad.

but 4 scum in a 16 player game......plus an sk. could this make sense? we have been given a lot of town specials. tracker, seer, doctor, and UT's role of protection.

i guess we see what happens tonight. it'd be great if b.t didn't make a nk.

the whole town pm - and the lack of stating that all threats need to be eliminated is a bit fishy. maybe b.ternarius is a form of investigator? which would still reconcile with the wording of the pm

In fact, I think given the situation, Aza probably should have not allowed night chat. I was worried about being god-killed if I asked outright for confirmation or advice after Nightfall.

something is not making sense here. b.tern is an admitted indie, what's the point of having a recruit if the person remains as town with the same win condition? The only thing I could see would be they can communicate with each other and that makes the nights 3 and 4 duplicate actions even more suspicious.

has anyone ever heard of a role where you choose someone for a teammate like that but nothing happens? And btern admits that she gets to choose another one if athene dies. I just don't buy that aza made a role with the ability to take a teammate that didn't alter the chosen persons role at all. It would be pointless, there has to be something about choosing a teammate that in beneficial to b.tern otherwise it wouldn't be in the role.

You'll notice that I wasn't godkilled for asking advice. You're making excuses. If you are alligning with town then change your night kill to no kill.

I still wonder if UT is the final scum, tbh. I don't think UT is anywhere as cleared as everyone seems to think.

I don't entirely understand the point of my not making a kill, either. The victim, whether town or scum (and for my own sake I hope it's scum), will reveal the final alignments, at least I think it will. If I don't, town will go through the whole tiresome 'kill b.tern' argument and ignore the reality of the last scum still hanging off their necks.

Also "fishy", well of course!

really? really b.tern? You are waffling about changing a night action? Every game ever has allowed changes in actions this far from the end of the round. The only restriction i've ever seen is not allowing changes made during the last hour so that the gm can write up the end of round post. Make the change.

It doesn't make sense that I would out b.tern if I were recruited, stopped being town and had a different win condition. You think the game would be unbalanced with 4 scum and 1 indie. Well, wouldn't it be equally unbalanced with 3 scum and 2 indies?
