Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 3

Town: UT

Townish: Mantis, b.tern, Ironclad, DP

Unsure: r.c, Charlou

Scummy-looking: ksen, Athene, Feck (he's on the border between unsure and scummy-looking, could go in either bucket)

Ironclad looks townish for a lot of reasons, but his vote reasons look random and goofy even when I agree that someone looks scummy. I don't get his focus on Mantis at all. He's right for the wrong reasons that I'm going to fuck up this game.

I'm totally down for either a ksen or Athene lynch. And despite UT's request that I not try to get myself lynched today, I'm ok with being the lynch, myself. I'll require convincing of anyone else.

@ UT: Yes indeed, very similar 'dream/vision'. But also, look at the very next post. It's Ob again... Roleblocker? Jester? Hmmmm..? This one needs scrutinising, methinks.

don't factor in my request not to lynch yourself today Ob. That was an attempt to work on scum paranoia to get them to waste a kill on you last night. I really bolluxed this up, I can't protect you tonight and I think the game will be completely broken before I get another chance. Sorry everyone.

Zigmen was suspicious to a few people, so it's the sort of SK that could be credibly claimed as a vig kill if the SK wants to go that direction.

Tomorrow we could be down to 8 players if the vig/sk strikes again. if I'm NKed tonight then the next game-DAY that we have could see us at SIX players. If I am NOT NKed tonight, then town is even more boned.

We need to get it right today.
guys...

won't the game (potentially in worst case scenario) be over if you DO get night killed tonight

Because, there's 11 players. probably 3 scum and honestly, it really appears that it's an SK.

so 8 town
(-1) - if we mislynch today
(-2) - in nk's (assuming that town blocker doesn't get it right/doctor if we have one)

and if you're the nk, Ob - then that means an extra night, and a potential (-2)

leaving 3 town players left - and scum reach parity.

though this is the worst possible scenario. because SK could hit a scum.

or maybe it is a vig, but brains scooped out? doesn't that seem like an indy zombie?

b.ternarius wrote:I suggested yesterday that scum might not kill Oblivion, preferring to wait until it was more advantageous. I think scum almost have to take that route tonight - town numbers are down and a two night run will take them down even further, especially if the sk/vig takes out another one or two town.

The game seems curiously unbalanced, which makes me wonder if there is a mitigating factor we don't know about.

What do you all think about ironclad's 'kill mantisdreams' vision?
His posts still seem very trippy to me. Don't know how else to describe them. I was thinking of voting ksen today based on Ironclad's posts (what I finally managed to get him to elucidate) yesterday ... but today's posts just seem off the wall again.

Yeah, I dunno.

I'm thinking that if a special KNOWS that we're mislynching someone today based on their night actions, then they need to get it stopped.

god damn I wish you guys had lynched me yesterday.

Don't listen to the Hatter, my friends ffs! Again with the distractions, let me reiterate - I have had my thoughts on Ksen from day 1, also Mantisdreamz from the start. Last nights vision leans me toward MDz for dragging to the altar. Ksen is not off the hook, yet.
If we don't pile on MDz or Ksen then I suggest Ob is blocking close votes and is not Jester.

Charlou, B.t, Feck, Athene.. chime in please. You are the only ones clean to my mind.

Three scum among 16 players? Even with an SK, that doesn't seem right.

I'm still suspicious of Athene for even considering about a No-lynch there are very very few times when a no-lynch can possibly help town this wasn't one of them .

With an SK 3 scum sound about right. That was my setup in the Mythadventures game. More than 3 with both an SK and my role would be hugely unbalanced.

something doesn't compute. there has to be something in the game design that mitigates this.

How can we have 11 players and potentially be at lynch-or-lose?

Okay.

Mantis, 11 minus four (three scum, one SK) leaves seven town.

yea, true. Unless of course the sk is a vig... but if not, then it's sort of worse than I thought
