The Drug Crisis in Mexico

34,000 people killed in four years in drug wars.

17 slaughtered in a Monterrey bar last night.

What can be done? :dunno:

They'll run out.

Of people to kill or drugs?

Legalisation isn't going to happen in the US any time soon - is there any way at all to call a fucking truce or something? :(

No, because a truce would entail the US compromising their stance in the War on Drugs. Which they won't do.

They get off their sanctimonious high horse and legalise drugs. Then, at least, any drug deaths are more to be likely self inflicted.

There's no drug crisis here.
You can get whatever drugs you want, within minutes, and without having to travel a kilometre.
And they have never been more affordable.

A friend of mine who used to smoke a bit, thirty years ago, recently tried a bit of grass. He was stoned for a day and a half. He couldn't believe how much stronger it was.
It's a fuckin bargain nowadays ! ( so I'm told ).

On the one hand, you have a massive nearbye market for illegal drugs, with (in comparison to Mexico) vast amounts of discretionary money available...

On the other hand, in Mexico, people lives in a state of chaotic, corrupt and impoverished lawlessness, partly due to a feckless Spanish heritage...

And so the bodies mount up...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Yes, but it could be a lot worse. It could be me !

I've stopped worrying about human deaths anyway, if it's not someone I know.
There are far too many humans already.
I worry about human births, and Mexico is really going for it.
