Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 2
It makes sense to get rid of the beloved princess early on in the game for reasons already stated. Are scum more likely to want to kill raven now that she's a semi-cleared townie who is also a good player, or to want to keep her in the game until such a time that it's convenient for them to have a double night? Rhetorical question btw. I'm trying to decide whether it's best to lynch ob, or see if scum kill her tonight.
If scum kill her then they've used one of the kills of their double night, if we kill her then we've killed a townie, and they get to kill two more.

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 2
Well, that's a game changer. I've never heard of this princess role, either. I can see it has the potential to either help or harm town, depending on how it's handled, and I think oblivion is making the right decision at the probably the right time.
But what a crappy role! Is there any way to handle it in town's favour without committing suicide near the game's beginning?

If I were scum, I think I would leave it to Town to kill her, at least until later in the game. Why waste a NK?Athene wrote:It makes sense to get rid of the beloved princess early on in the game for reasons already stated. Ob ... OK Now I get why you were being odd .
@ Ksen come on you are going to have to find a better reason for suspecting me than my lack of drunk posting esp if other people are going to nip at me for admitting I was tired and hungover one morning , as it should be obvious by now, no information can be gained by my Sobriety (or lack of ) in a game it isn't like it is a tell . What's more I'm pretty certain You bloody know that , so I would assume that ....you're being scummy Hang around for a month or 3 'til mushroom season and then you might get to try some equally fatuous ' Feck is tripping type excuse

It's almost 3 am, so I'm off to bed and won't be back online before daybreak.
I considered voting ob, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do, so no vote from me.

Exactly. But it's oblivion so they might just feel they have to do that.b.ternarius wrote:If I were scum, I think I would leave it to Town to kill her, at least until later in the game. I don't think it's a good idea for us to lynch oblivion at this point in the game. I think the value of keeping her in game plus having scum use one of their double kills on her outweighs not knowing when the hammer will fall.

goddamn phone...
before posting your analysis. I can't help but think scum are furiously working this on their writeboard.
your analysis looks townish on the face of it, but I have doubts.
thinking about a nolynch as an alternative if we're going to leave this in scum's hands.

Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 2
Oblivion is a very, very good player, imo, but there are other good players and some of them are undoubtedly scum. Consider how useful it would be to scum to wait until later in the game to kill oblivion, when they have a good grasp on who might be town specials, then have a double night to play with.Athene wrote:Exactly. Re: The Innsmouth Look Day 2
I'm leaning more towards not lynching her right now. Her input is valuable... so .. maybe we can just hold off for a day or so (that is if scum don't NK her). And if they do, then ok, but at least we won't be lynching a known townie today along with another few to inevitably come
