You're an idiot. You sound like a freshman in college who just read a Chomsky book and decides to pontificate to others to "educate" them. Keep typing, it's good for laughs.

seriously, you have some kind of mental problems don't you. A learning disability? If you don't know (which, I guess you wouldn't) perhaps you should consult a professional. If it's not a disabilty and you are just simply a fucking idiot, than I don't feel bad for you. Anyway, moron, since you seem to love wiki and HRW here you go...you may need an audio version though as you're reading ability seems to be at a grade 1 level.
European Union members and the Organization of American States, as well as non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have protested the legal status and physical condition of detainees at Guantánamo. The human rights organization Human Rights Watch has criticized the Bush administration over this designation in its 2003 world report, stating: "Washington has ignored human rights standards in its own treatment of terrorism suspects. It has refused to apply the Geneva Conventions to prisoners of war from Afghanistan, and has misused the designation of 'illegal combatant' to apply to criminal suspects on U.S. soil." On May 25, 2005, Amnesty International released its annual report calling the facility the "gulag of our times."[161] [162] Lord Steyn called it "a monstrous failure of justice," because "... The military will act as interrogators, prosecutors and defense counsel, judges, and when death sentences are imposed, as executioners. The trials will be held in private. None of the guarantees of a fair trial need be observed."

The ad hominem attacks are getting out of hand with both of you. Please consider this a reminder to tone down the rhetoric.

Of course, the whole gitmo travesty is much worse. By and far, not even a comparison.
Fuck, they get to live in a salubrious tropical climate, they get specially-prepared ethnic food, they get reading materials and religious books. Their life in Gitmo is probably a higher standard of living than they had in the shit-hole countries they lived in before they decided to wage war on the United States.

Only these people have not been labeled as POW's.
Fucking right they haven't, they don't deserve the protection of the Geneva Convention. They are terrorists and unlawful combatants who are being held because they waged war against the United States, and they can fucking well rot in Gitmo till they and their fellow terrorists and unlawful combatants either sue for peace or get a dirt nap.

Of course it's worse, all the prisoners tortured, held without charge or with no idea when they'll go to trial is far worse than one corrupt judge.
I say they NEVER go to trial. They just rot in custody until all Islamic terrorists everywhere give up Islamic terrorism and decide to live in peace with the US. Fuck 'em if they don't like it, that's the cost of waging war against the United States as an unlawful enemy combatant...you get held until hostilities are over, and if hostilities never end, then you die in custody. You don't like it? Tough shit, you started it, we end it.

The problem with your attitude is that when we Brits in Ireland had the same mindset and we interned not only the guilty but the innocent as well. That's when the shit really hit the fan. it put troops on the ground lives in danger. Some area's in the Northern Ireland before interment we had a good relationship with the Catholics but after that we had next to zero. We alienated the moderate Republican who wanted a united Ireland but did not support in anyway terrorism. Good intelligence is the key in defeating terrorism and the rule of law must be applied.

No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.
