Sure, usually interchangeable depending on what size bit you're using...they just unscrew. There are even male and female versions...

Hey, wait a minute. If you always end up with extras----maybe you got my chuck?
Could be! I think all my spares are 1/2", but I've got all sizes in 1/8th increments from 1/4" to 1"...somewhere in the depths of the shed...
