People lynch vote for a lot of reasons besides wanting to get someone lynched right now this minute today. It's how a player reacts to being voted, and how they react to being questioned that usually determines how things go from there.
Then it is rather pointless to continue to play on this site since my alignment has little to do with why people lynch vote me. I tried to react differently and you accused me of copying Ksen's style. As if.

( :hugs: to Ksen)
Yep.

I wanted to see how you reacted, and how ksen reacted, too. Overall, you acquitted yourself fairly well on day 1, which is why I don't think your lynch was a slam dunk on day 2, despite coming under some early pressure.

Maybe I'm the one who should be considering a break from playing ratz mafia.

No way, then I'd have to consider sledging mantis, and we all know she's way too sweet.

there's a certain familiarity to the refrain. I've seen a few other players who have complained that it doesn't matter what their alignment is, and therefore the problem is not with their gameplay - the problem lies with the people who think they are scummy no matter what their alignment. There is truth to that, but it's not the whole story.

I dunno. every fos and every vote is feedback on improving my game. Every time I'm nked, I learn something about what draws a scum kill or a vig kill. It's not consistent feedback because it's not always the same players in the same roles with the same alignments.

But it's quite literally the only useful feedback we get, unless someone not playing a particular game is willing to share some insights.

It's very difficult to lynch Hathor. I'm just sayin' . I'm thinking of getting some kinda neck implant myself, so I can pretend to only mostly be lynched. I don't really think the men folk would have lynched diva this game. I was shocked she was able to be godkilled.

I am flattered! FYI, running a game is less of a time investment than playing one so if I win I will do it. And it will be FABULOUS!

If you can't handle being voted upon when not scum then perhaps mafia isn't for you. If however you learn how to handle suspicion, and figure out why people are voting for you (dropped tell, pressure, test the waters for a scum lynch, etc), then take your heart off your sleeve and start paying attention, taking notes, etc. I'd even be willing to coach you in a game sometime, if you could deal with me not being around 24/7.

Is this the second mafia ragequit of the game? Is that a record?

um, I haven't found a ragequit yet, just understandable emotive expression over players being only watchers or maybe stalkers. It's maybe difficult for some to accept a downgrade to only being secretly admired from a distance, after living together in the game. Yeah, some find it cute, but that's usually when the other one snores loudly or passes gas in their sleep.

I guess it's true what they say about Mafia generally. You can never just leave the Family.
