Given that the base rate for homosexuality is in the 12% range, I find it rather unlikely that the incidence among the clergy approaches 50%.
As to using prayer as a means of differentiating between real and imaginary gods, I must let you know that my god has consistently been answering my prayers for as long as I have believed in him; the answer just happens to be "no", but at least I can take comfort that he's listening.
