About me: Twoflower is the optimistic-but-naive tourist. He often runs into danger, being certain that nothing bad will happen to him since he is not involved. He also believes in the fundamental goodness of human nature and that all problems can be resolved, if all parties show good will and cooperate.

And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

You read these Harry Potter books in a week? Don't you have anything else to do?

I'm rereading the Harry Potter books at the moment. I'm up to the Goblet of Fire but it takes me about a month to get through. My six year old is reading them at the same time, although he's up to the Order of the Pheonix. Wait - you skipped that one did you? :ask:

I read them in less than a week, it was more like a couple of days. I skipped one of the books, then read it later and just didn't add it.

I started this on another forum, but the same goal applies. Although, my original goal was 24 books in a year (two a month). But I quickly surpassed that and I upped it to 52 books this year. So far I'm at 32.

1. The End of Faith - Sam Harris
2. I, Robot - Isaac Asimov
3. Catch-22 - Joseph Heller
4. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
5. The Metamorphosis - Franz Kafka
6. The Road - Cormac McCarthy
7. The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
8. Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
9. The Princes Bride, by William Goldman
10. Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said, Philip K. Dick
11. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, by Ken Kesey
12. The Gods Themselves, Isaac Asimov
13. Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
14. All Quiet on the Western Front, Erich Maria Remarque
15. We, Yevgeny Zamyatin
16. Contact, Carl Sagan
17. The Duel, Anton Chekhov
18. The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins
19. Catching Fire, Suzanne Collins
20. Mockingjay, Suzanne Collins
21. Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy
22. Cat's Cradle, Kurt Vonnegut
23. The Stranger, Albert Camus
24. The Man in the High Castle, Philip K. Dick
25. The Pale King, David Foster Wallace
26. Brave New World, Aldous Huxley
27. As I Lay Dying, William Faulkner
28. Death By Black Hole, Neil deGrasse Tyson
29. Embassytown, China Mieville
30. The Corner: A Year In The Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood, David Simon
31. Blood Meridian, Cormac McCarthy
32. VALIS, Philip K. Dick

I'm loving the Philip K. Dick and Cormac McCarthy books. Also The Stranger, Anna Karenina, The Corner, All Quiet... and Catch-22 are in my list of top favorite books.

I use Goodreads to keep track of my books. It's nice.
