A quick answer to this would have been nice...

I don't know if there's a traitor, but, if we do accept cookie blocked def, and def's claim about his dream and being a doc, what other explanation might there be for no nightkill? It could be that scum simply neglected to put their night action in, perhaps for the same reason Feck gave ... I don't think that's the case, but it's possible.

Anyone else been having ideas about various scenarios that may or may not amount to wifom if voiced? I'm going to go along with the occam's razor approach and vote linus ... we can consider scenarios tomorrow if he flips town.
I got some other ideas but at this point I think we should go with Occam instead of WIFOM and use the KISS principle.

I had a single night action as bodyguard.
Yes, 1-shot bodyguard is a protection type role, just as a regular doc. How likely do you think it is that the game would have both these roles?

Not sure how a traitor would figure into the mix.
I wonder what other effects the kidnaping had if any?

I'm willing to let Def go another day but odds are we should lynch scum if he is town.
5 scum out of 17 would be 29%. Most games have 20-25% scum, with 25% considered a high percentage. The simplest explanation is that there's a fake claim/anti-town special among the claimed specials.

Unlike doc, though, bodyguard is high risk for the player, and for town. If I'd guarded the other player I considered guarding I'd be dead, and the don would have remained in play longer.

Speaking of the don, one thing that puzzles me is that there hasn't been a seer claim. If we don't have a seer (only a 1-shot lie detector?), the don was almost pointless, which makes the 6 special claims look even more off.

I've played at least one game here before where there were the regular special roles and an array of single night actions.

It's very hard to tell with praying and I don't think her contributions this game are unusual for her. I would be more concerned about her if I didn't think the claimed specials, and in particular Def, were the best bets.
