I always feel bad when I get a lynch vote wrong. I started the one with Ani in jest and I said that, even though there was a possibility that he was scum. I find it peculiar how everyone jumped on Bolero, then Ksen and pressure voted him to out himself as a special, and then Ani.

But if you want me to take the heat for throwing a first lynch vote down on Ani, that is fine, Aza. I certainly didn't expect people to jump all over him the way that they did.

There's not much in your other post addressed to me so I'll leave it. You did mention subtle whiteknighting of Zigmen. I suppose you could look at it like that. I prefer to look at it from the point of view of you special hunting.

Let's talk about yesterday. I reread the thread while totting up the Regent votes and made a few notes.

So the first thing I was looking at were people's reactions after Aza claimed. It was weird. Feck posted some inconsequentiality and then ignored it for eight hours until several other people were speaking about it. RL may have something to do about it, but at the time he ignored the biggest news story. It's like being in Washington on 8 December 1941 and skipping past the news on Pearl Harbour to check the fashion pages. Odd. Then...

Zigmen drops a vote on Bolero with no reason. Aza fills in a reason a post later.

ksen votes for Charlou.

Feck engages in the Aza claim debate some 8 hours after the event.

UT sticks up for ksen

ksen says he may have misunderstood Charlou's "special hunting" and onto the leading Bolero wagon.

Other people were voting for ksen

UT votes for ksen accusing him of being "defensive"

ksen claims double vote ability and later the name Dom Esteban, Lord Alton.

ksen later admits he conflated Bolero and Charlou but says he will keep his vote where it is because Aza has his vote on Bolero and he trusts Aza.

ksen offers to test himself against Bolero

Ani starts flailing and acting scummy

Ani bandwagon picks up heaps of passengers.

ksen switches to Ani.

Ani dies.

A few thoughts. ksen was acting scummy. He had already voted for Charlou before switching to Bolero and then admitting that he had conflated Charlou and Bolero. But how? Surely when you vote for someone you have clearly defined reasons for doing so. And when you unvote you file them away, you don't drag them to your new victim.

Then UT says "I really don't see the charlou vote either, but i'm not sure it makes ksen scum." I have WIFOM up the yin-yang from this.

My point? ksen was acting scummy so he got votes, then Ani started acting scummy so he got votes. The Bolero wagon was built on a thin premise, that I understood, but then everyone ran with it.

The other person that looked scummy yesterday was Zigmen with his no explanation vote on Bolero. He stayed there all day. And then he did have that weird first post today. Zigmen may very well not be pro-town but that doesn't mean that diva is either. After all, scum lost their Don last night. They'll be pissed.

Also - good summary, Aden. There's some useful info there, but I'm going to have to take a moment to figure out what it means. I'm now no longer as confident of ksen as I was earlier in the day. It almost looks like he and UT were working together, but I could just be seeing things.

Mantis is in fact not sure if Bolero is scum or not.
I think that clears her of being scum. Could perhaps be a SK but not scum.
