No, no, that's not it at all! :(
I just...well first, the online thing doesn't appeal to me. I prefer to play by myself, at my own pace, for my own amusement. Second, I wouldn't even know how to play online even if I wanted to. Third, I'm moving in two weeks and I'm not sure I'd even have the proper connection speed. Cable is expensive. Since I'll be paying my own rent and my own bills all by myself, I may have to do without internet access altogether. Not sure I'll be able to afford it :(
Did I miss this somewhere? You are finally getting rid of your roomy from hell?!

Hope it all works out! Tell more - or link to it elsewhere?

..and no internet? No way!

He asked me to move out because his girlfriend is complaining she wants more privacy and space. I was kind of offended that he'd ask me to move out, since I'm the only one who pays the bills. But the apartment is in his name, so whatever. It was the kick in the ass I needed to finally get the hell out.
But now he and his girlfriend keep getting in these big fights. He says he thinks they're going to break up, and asked me if it's not too late for me to stay :hehe:

Not sure if I'll be able to afford internet. I'll still have it at work. But not sure about home. I'll have to see how thing work out financially.

I have people that can do that for you if you like impersonal fuck offs.

Also, about Red Dead Redemption, I was put off by the slow start initially. I don't know what convinced me to pick it up again after experiencing the same sense of "how does one shoot a wolf with all this shit going on?" that tat described. It got better and I enjoyed the game immensely. I haven't played GTA4. But I'd be willing to be RDR is more satisfying. But if you haven't beaten it, I can't tell you why.

I played the Undead Nightmare as well. It was less satisfying but as I pushed through my initial distaste with all the changes in the gameplay, it began to feel like an encore edition. So that's good too just not as good.

Not much since most game companies appeared to have binned any desire to cater to anything but DX9 /11 cards I can't, can't afford to upgrade atm so I am screwed. Card is only a year and a half old as well honestly the tech is grinding to a halt but the rate you have to upgrade is increasing exponentially, something is just not right there.

Civ V if I can get it to run on DX9 mode, which most of the time I can't. Apparently they also deliberately didn't bother to program for DX10 at the behest of some graphic card companies no doubt. It's lame but what can you do, its all business bull shit the usual fricking make people upgrade shit even though half the time they don't or shouldn't need to. Assholes.

I saw that on the menu screen and wondered what that was. Just looked it up. So it's like a zombie version of the game? Actually, I think I'd like that better :hehe: But do you have to pay extra for it or something? :ask:

I don't even bother gaming on PCs/Laptops for that reason. With consoles at least you know you're set for a good number of years before the next one comes out.

It didn't used to be like this but when PC idiots realised the time of the processor was closing they started bundling hard for profit. A total pain to anyone who knows full well the technological improvements are decreasing exponentially, but the new ranges of slightly better kit is being pushed more often. That is business, if you can rip your customer off then do it. The trouble is most people are so damned gullible they actually believe that painting a go faster stripe on a PC means its so much better but now there's not much further they can go, they have quad core and 64 bit they are not going to have much more room to improve that. It doesn't help that Microsoft released a crap pile that was DX10 either and now seems bent on replacing it as soon as possible with DX11 even though DX10 now works perfectly. It's highly suspicious but look at the gap between DX and you'll note that they are decreasing. Look at the actual technology at face value and they don't need new versions so soon, the differences in performance just aren't enough to warrant it.

I've been considering a solo round of the "wee wee game", since Mrs. Lak didn't want to play last night.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I downloaded Spyro the Dragon (the first one) onto my PS3. Having a blast with it! It's still fun, and despite the crude graphics still holds up rather well I think.

Dragon Age II - Awesome story, boring, repetitive and easy combat. Equipment is also boring and uninspired. Very nice graphically, but they might have put some more variety in what you could wear and wield and made combat a bit more involved. Overall, I'd rather play NWN. :P
