Obama has the entire media establishment on his side. That's why there is zero critical examination by the mainstream media of anything his administration does. What do you think the media would be saying about Libya if a Republican was President? It's a footnote now.

Trouble with a two party system in a shades of grey world.

and I think Hillary would be under the same scrutiny if not worse as Obama is. The "good ol white men"'s republican party is humiliated that they would have anyone but one of their kind as president.

If that's true, she'd be under very light scrutiny. This birth certificate nonsense wasn't even being covered in the media, until Obama brought out the birth certificate. Nobody was taking it seriously except a few crackpots.

Obama is generally being treated with kid gloves, far lighter and gentler than W Bush was. It's not even close. W. Bush was slammed on a daily basis by the media.

W. Bush couldn't help but look like a clown every time he opened his mouth. All reports about anything he said were pretty much with humor tone so as to make light of it so the world don't laugh even more than they were laughing.

The word is that Republicans don't want to tax corporations or take away their tax credits cuz they create jobs. Well, they're right about that. The only thing is, ALL the jobs they created are in FOREIGN countries and they still took the tax credits anyway.

ANd now Obama is expected to turn around of 10 yrs of damage in just 4 yrs???? Not even god could do that.

The point was whether Bush got it worse than Obama - he did, much worse. Obama gets next to no criticism from the media. And, that's not because he's so awesome.

The Republican tax proposal, incidentally, would remove the corporate tax credits and loopholes. So, you're wrong there.

And, now it's "10 years of damage?" Most of the Bush years were pretty good, actually. Have you been following the economy at all?

Who were they good for? Was it not the years of "stealing" by Wall St. until they finally got caught and then to reward their destruction of other peoples money, were promised a bail out by Bush, so being that Obama was so new in the office, he really didn't have the clout to refuse it. Was it not the years of exposure of worst corporation coruption. Do you think they got that way in just a few months under Obama presidency. No, they functioned with their nastyness for years and years before they were exposed, and the pimple poped when Obama came in.

The real estate and mortgage mess was not done over night either. But shit finally hit the fan and now people are loosing their homes and the blame goes to Obama.

Your opinions. I've seen plenty of criticism of Obama from the media.

And maybe, just maybe, it's not a yin-yang situation with the media simply being partial to one. Maybe Obama's genuinely smarter, more articulate, more capable and generally more deserving of the office than the guy who came before him, and the media knows it as well as anybody.

The media can, at times, be based in favor of reliable information and intelligent analysis.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

That says nothing about a fair analysis of the people he appoints and policies he advances. There is fawning adulation among the media, and precious little criticism.

. But, that's typical of liberals - if you're not with them, you're either with them, or dumb or evil.

I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman
