Re: Timebomb Day 4
If the seer knows that one or more people on your list are town, it may be time to out. We need to focus our votes where they will do the most good today.
Re: Timebomb Day 4
and I think that to be safe, we can't ignore armed people that we think are town. We need to put some extra votes on them in case we are wrong and they are not really armed.
So, despite feeling that gib and fuzzy are town, I would like to see at least one more vote on each of them.
And feck is still worrying the shit out of me.

What to do?
I thought it was pretty obvious that the seer had outed.

Re: Timebomb Day 4
yabbut how many? I've spotted like 6-8 different seer crumb posts in this game.
some may be scum fucking with us. some may be people who don't know they are dropping seer tells. but still. holy crap.

I've only spotted one and it was directed directly at you.

Re: Timebomb Day 4
That one was pretty blunt.
Either they were the seer or they were scum.
Either they were the seer or they were scum.
Re: Timebomb Day 4
well...that doesn't narrow it down very much. but I'll go back and look and weigh again. I've discounted some, but there are multiple players on my possible seer list.

Re: Timebomb Day 4
I protected oblivion on night one, knowing that if there's a roleblocker I'd probably be blocked because I'd outed my role on day one, but on the chance there wasn't a roleblocker, I hoped I'd successfully protect her. I was visited by someone who seems lovely (most likely a scum prostitute), so the protection of oblivion didn't succeed and both of us received four points that night. I expected to receive maybe a point from scum that night, so the number of points I did get were a shock.praying wrote:Magicziggy wrote:In the spirit of moving this along...praying wrote:charlou wrote:I gave outing my codeword consideration ... We'll see, I guess.
What does that mean?

Thanks!
So and this is directed at anyone, if that is the case why would scum leave charlou or anyone they think is special under 7?
Night two I protected myself.
Night three I protected someone else. I expected that I would receive more points and was surprised to find my letter unchanged this morning. I can only assume that one of those whose letters changed was a priority for their attention last night. Either that or I was hit by the vig night one, scum tried to add points to me night two and failed and couldn't hit me two nights in a row. That would fit, except looking at the changes on the roster after the night two actions seems to indicate that scum went after someone else that night.
Also, if the vig hit me on night one, there's still the question of why scum would hit ob when I'd outed ... why wouldn't they hit me? And if it was scum that hit me, why would the vig hit ob? This is what I have trouble making sense of.

Re: Timebomb Day 4
scum might have expected you to self-protect or be protected (can't remember if you outed as doc prior to the night action deadline or not).
Re: Timebomb Day 4
MZ, you said this just before you outed as a bomb ..
Why? Isn't that exactly what you'd be aiming for if you're a bomb?Magicziggy wrote:I wanted her to think I had lie detection powers. I don't.
It's a bit more subtle than that. I think scum are on to me. That makes it hard.

To further clarify: I outed as a special on day one, then on day two I revealed I'd protected you overnight.charlou wrote:I outed as doc on day two.oblivion wrote:scum might have expected you to self-protect or be protected (can't remember if you outed as doc prior to the night action deadline or not).

Uhm...I don't understand how this is even a remotely good idea.Magicziggy wrote:I would stack the votes on me, Irre, Mantis, Bolero, Diva and UT.
I'm semi-confident of my reads on others.
Tonight, I'd have Charlou protect one of the unarmed players and the vote switcher should reduce the votes of charlou if possible.
The vig should target someone to take them over towards 10.
However, I agree with praying that if scum have a bullet proof vest, it would be unbalancing.
I can't work out how this would work out fairly.
Why not try to just get us to do ALL of scum's work for them, hmmm?
Bolero and Irre are armed. Why waste votes on them? Stack votes on people? What good will that do?
Vote-spreading will only help scum, because they can just pick us off one by one every night. The most that I have heard someone say is that they had 4 points added to them over night by scum. That does not arm anybody does it? I am starting to wonder if that is why Praying is not getting hit with anything. She does not have enough points for scum to worry about (I don't think). So Praying is looking rather town at the mo, IMO.
If the seer outs themselves they will be at risk of getting points added to them and get blocked. I think that the seer should only out themselves if they get a scum read. Period.
Your vote-spreading idea, outing yourself as a threat to scum only if they hit you, but now that they know what you can do they most certainly won't, trying to get people to reveal their passwords are starting to make me think that you are SCUM.
I may change my mind later, but for right now I am:
vote MZ
The only reason that I think that you might be town, is that Gonzo corroborates your story (that and you do seem to be trying). So I am perfectly willing to take my vote off of you when you start helping town instead of helping scum by getting us to do their dirty work for them.
Currently suffers from Cassandra's curse.
Re: Timebomb Day 4
right. so scum may have expected you to be protected rather than the mayor and targeted me (and mayor's a different sort of role in this game anyway).charlou wrote:To further clarify: I outed as a special on day one, then on day two I revealed I'd protected you overnight.charlou wrote:I outed as doc on day two.oblivion wrote:scum might have expected you to self-protect or be protected (can't remember if you outed as doc prior to the night action deadline or not).
but that leaves a vig who is going to have some questions to answer when this game ends.
I'd prefer to think that I was the vig hit, for whatever reason. it beats the vig having targeted someone who had outed.
Re: Timebomb Day 4
I kinda agree, but not sure we can trust your motive here.Magicziggy wrote:My role pm at least does not indicate a second bomb for scum. It was only the hit on Ob that made me think there was.
I have a thought about Aza.
Now we have the spectre of needing 10 points to arm scum, we cannot assume that Aza doesn;t have it.
Why don;t we just leave him out of the reckoning. If scum win because of Aza, I think zigmen will have some questions to answer.
Let's forget Aza and let zigmen ensure that he doesn't become a factor.
If I were scum and Aza were scum I'd be asking zigmen to ensure likewise.
Is it more likely Zigmen would leave Aza's role in play if he's town? Or more likely if he's scum? How many points is Aza on atm?
