That's the total added during the game so far ... Four overnight, and one yesterday (Feck's vote). In addition to the one I started out with, that is six altogether.

wow.
No, I don't, but then I'd not think you'd make the thoughtless suggestions you made earlier if you're town, either. On balance (taking those pings and your protown behaviour into account) I'm still fairly confident you're town ... but they are pings, nonetheless, and I think worth noting.
we'll see. they seemed like a pretty good idea at the time but I am pretty short on sleep. It will be interesting to discuss after the game.

I hate PM games, but I'm wishing this one was.

In which case, my votes would be a prime candidate for theft. And a vote thief can be town, scum or indie. I've seen the role all 3 ways, though the mechanics were different. the thief chose whose vote to steal the night before. Then the following day, when they voted, the GM counted their vote and the stolen vote going where they directed. The person whose vote was stolen wouldn't realize.
Vote thief? Not seen this ... what role is this?

mafiascum.net's wiki doesn't have a page for the role, though it's referred to in some of the game history pages. I've seen the role in one game. Town and Scum had players who had vote stealing as secondary abilities (the seer could also steal votes, as could the don). The SK was also a vote stealer.

I know what you mean ... without the usual information we get from daily cardflips we're really feeling around in the dark more than ever in this game ... but I think the paranoia level will probably become high enough without PMs. I was going to use MZ's speculation as an example of paranoia, but think that's probably a bit unfair given he has a point about my recent history wrt wifomy theories. Fuck knows I've been keeping a couple to myself so far this game and hope I can manage to keep them under control as the game progresses.

Yes. and UT is slightly pinging for me. I'm thinking that amongst the talkative players: Ob, Charlou, Feck, (diva), UT, MZ, (irre) - I'm most concerned about MZ & UT.

UT - you mentioned that I appeared to take off after the pressure was on. For everyone I generally work 4pm-12am, EST... so, in that time I am at work! (which is about 6 hours before day end).

I'm at 5 points right now. I'm not armed, but I hope that town, in general, isn't feeling safe and comfortable that they are getting close to getting a scum, because I am town.

And now I am actually getting the feeling that Bolero is town too.

I think Gonzo is not a bad choice. Also, maybe Fuzzy too.

Irre, I am with you as well, on playing the game in a normal sense. We might have to start thinking more about vote spreading at the end, but right now I'm leaving that open until it becomes more clear that that would be the best way of doing things.

I suspect the action is something unique to this game. Like I said, it could be more recipient-based than voter-based. Something like a vote-bus driver maybe. You switch the players the night after, and whatever votes were accrued by one the previous day are loaded onto the other.

Sorry Feck.
I'm having to do a lot of rereading so I know where you're coming from there, diva.

This game is hard work.
It is making my head hurt.

You had 4 points added.

Oblivion had 4 points added.

Didn't Bolero say she had 1 taken off?

UT has had some of his removed.

Gonzo says he had some removed.

Is this right?

The removals and the excessive points make me think of redistribution in lieu of excessive points assigned to scum.

And just to be clear, I did whatever Ob told me to do, because she seems the most townish (I have already stated this), I am really tired, but not quite ready to go to bed and I am still unsure of the dynamics of everyone.
re the bolded question, diva ... bolero was a bit confused about her tally due to the changing OP at the start of the game, but I think this is was where she settled: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 15#p809815

Actually, taking her openness about that into consideration puts Bolero to a more townward lean, I think.

Why are you most concerned about MZ and UT? What is pinging there?

What do you think about UT's caution to draw back from totally arming you with out votes?

Charlou, further thinking upon MZ - I suppose I had him as unsure because I feel less sure about him than others. However -- thinking on it, MZ made mention of a post by Bolero in which she responded with "FFS" -- and his reasoning to think she was town was because of this post. Looking at Bolero's posts today, I do also get teh feeling she is town. I had also wondered about that same post MZ mentioned, thinking that looked townish as well (but had ignored it because of other posts that seemed scummy).

Being that I am leaning towards her as town right now, along with the fact that MZ mentioned the same thing I was looking at as townish, as well.... I'm going to have to take back the suspicion about MZ (for now).

UT - well, he has changed his votes a few times. His reason for voting me was that I was "pinging really hard". To me that seems like a cheap excuse. And I think this game being fresh and a new concept to all of us, has scum feeling a bit more confident to speak more than they usually would. He is just the one I am concerned about the most in the most talkative group.

diva and irre are in brackets, because they're not as talkative as the others, in that list.
