Re: Timebomb Day 2
Ok, so MZ's behavior today is starting to bug me a little, encouraging people to stay on one player while he's the sole vote on another, and this crazy stuff about needing another player's code word.
The PG says this about codes:
[quote]Why a code?
Well, let's just say that you might not want Scum to know that you have 4 points and only have to stick you with 2 more points to fully arm your vest . . .
But Scum knows a little bit more about these codes than Town does . . .[/b]

gah. screwed up the quote. oh well. you get the point.
Re: Timebomb Day 2
my thoughts are that i need to reread the lot but i don't fancy that much right now
eta ok this is interesting. Can we have a quick recap on what e know about the codewords, eg somwhere i picked up the idea that we shoudln't out our words. Was that from the thread or is that just a common sense way of looking at how the gm would make the game?
eta post preview crap IS annoying, i still haven't got used to it

Just a couple of things...
Even though it appears that scum (and possibly a vig) piled on the points last night, I think as far as game balance is concerned we need to remember that no one dies, even if we get armed, we can still play and vote. That also makes rethink the scum to town ratio; I was thinking that maybe there was about fifty/fifty, but now I am thinking that maybe it is more like a 4/10.
Also, I think that you are wrong about Charlou. Her and Oblivion seem the most town to me.
I have to go to work for a couple of hours. I noticed that Zigmen is still looking for a sub? I put up a notice on RatSkep to say that this is looking for one. I see that Irre is replacing Athene, does anybody know who else is dropping out? I am wondering if it Aza and that is why he has not come back and answered any questions.

Currently suffers from Cassandra's curse.

I seriously don't think we want scum to learn our codewords, particularly the codewords of our specials.
we've been fairly open with the location of the code letters in our words today. I don't think that should become a habit.

^^
e.g. we know there is a special circumstance in which the specials will lose their special abilities for the rest of the game. a circumstance involving the code words wouldn't surprise me at all.
MZ's looking pretty scummy right now for making this suggestion, but I'm wondering if scum would be that bold.

MZ just set the alarms off !....What the fuck would knowing Charlou's code word tell us ? I can't see how My code word would help town , I can't see a way knowing hers would help ... town .

She's armed. I'm suspicious of her outing.
Call it paranoia.

Praying
Townish (most to least)
Charlou
Feck

Re: Timebomb Day 2
We have no way to know if her claim is true. Scum only needs one player to survive. Placing a sleeper, perhaps the don, in a trusted position ensures the victory. I'm thinking outside the square and that's not scummy.

Re: Timebomb Day 2
Closing your mind to possibilities is very short sighted and may cost town the game.
Re: Timebomb Day 2
the time to get paranoid is when no one claims to have been "visited" tonight.Magicziggy wrote:She's armed. I'm suspicious of her outing.

and IMO there are more than enough caveats about the codewords in the peanut gallery for us to want to keep them ambiguous to scum.
Re: Timebomb Day 2
MZ she doesn't have to survive for town to win. If you think she's scum then put a vote on her. THAT won't potentially endanger any other of our specials.

Re: Timebomb Day 2
I'm suggesting it as a possibility.
That's all. I don;t want one player to be so in the clear they skate all the way through.
I have my reasons for keeping my vote on gonzo. But that does not mean he's definately scum.
At this time I'm keeping these reasons to myself. Let's just say things aren;t adding up as I would expect.

Re: Timebomb Day 2
And I'll add, apart from outing, I think Charlou is the most pro-town player.
I really don;t see why she did.
Her use of a 7 point total for specials would not be unique to town for one thing.
This thought has been festering and I'm sharing.
