and like I said yesterday about my vote that didn't count, it wasn't as random as a dice roll, I think zegmen is scum.
I also have given my role pm another view, and I noticed something that makes me think I am an indie, but it did not specifically say that, I have never even heard of elfquest so I have no idea about flavor.
athene's posting restriction and passing it on to AZa, could that be some sort of ploy?
Explain more, what exactly makes you think that you are an indie?
Cooeeee!
I have no idea what "Cooeeee" means, I assume you want me to explain, which I did already and you wither have not read or are just ignoring to make it look like I am hiding something since zegmen and I had an exchange about this
an don eof my posts takes up literally half a page practically.
I said never mind, I was mistaken about the indy thing. The Gm (gib) pointed that out to me by directing me to the PG thread, in fact that was my question about my role, why gib was included on the role pm.
Guys there is a lot of stuff happening in this game where people are sending each other coded messages in the thread. Yesterday it was Feck with his Nightfall calls, and today we have irre claiming to have used Hammer a couple of times.
So how about the little exchange above, and particularly that one little rather-too-convenient typo in praying's message?
This also leads me to question the wisdom of giving a gift to Athene.

Give an example of the kind of scenario you worry about here. Athene & praying are both scum and sending hidden messages in the game thread? At least one them is not scum and they're sending hidden messages in the game thread?

I thought that Praying just had a series of typos.
Praying is on my radar because Zigmen was the first to mention the nature of his role PM and it read like mine. Can there be a secret Indie cabal? A secret scum cabal? A secret town cabal?
I am starting to think so. Hence the coded thread posts. Maybe everyone has to find each other or something like that. We just don't know it yet.

Would you prefer I gifted a boomerang (to switch players) or a divining rod (for another seer view) to someone I consider a townie tonight?
Here's my suggestion:
1. The boomerang and divining rod can both with high probability ensure another view, so they're about equally powerful. Don't reveal which of the artifacts you give away.
2. Give it to one of Feck, UT, MZ, Athene, MSG.
3a. If you decide to give away the boomerang, it's user should use it to swap UT with somebody.
3b. If you decide to give away the divining rod, it's user should remember that the most important thing is to view uncleared players who are likely to be alive the next day (and preferrably endgame).
Yes, that all sounds reasonable, except why do you think Athene and MSG are likely enough to be town that I'd give them a gift?
I have been told by oblivion and gib that if I give a powerful gift to someone, if that person uses the power bestowed in the gift, they might be subject to some kind of penalty. I won't know anything about what the penalty is (that will be between the gift recipient and the game mods). But I'm giving you a heads up on this, in case we see Aza posting only one word posts tomorrow or something like that.
I hope town can see that I am helping town. By not lynching me, you have created a situation where scum will want to now kill me (if they don't think I'm going to give them gifts) thus I draw fire away from town.

What penalty did UT have?

Indies never have cabals, because they are indies. Scums always have cabals, and they can chat freely off-thread. Feck and higgs were going to be a town cabal, being millers meant they could chat off-thread. I am betting there are no more cabals that we don't know about.

Someone give me a handle on praying. Is she experienced? Has she done off the wall things before?
She is deliberately mispelling zigmen's name also. I'm not sure about the coded message though.
She would be a good target for Aza since she is pure wifom atm.

We need to hear from him. I didn't know that a gift I gave could be kept until the recipient wished to use it; I thought they had to use it straight away or not at all. So, UT may not have used his double vote as yet.

Praying always pings me as scum. I lost my first game on TR, when at endgame it was me, higgs and praying. I was town and had to hammer a vote on one of them, and as I thought praying was scummier I voted her and it turned out to be higgs.
At TR, praying is not seen as one of the stronger players. But, take that with a huge grain of salt because I don't know how they guage that.

Sorry feck, yes I meant masons. I had miller in my mind because I was toying with claiming as a miller yesterday, knowing that I was going to be made mayor and that I was going to be viewed in all likelihood.

In the long run, player strength can only be guaged by win - loss ratio.
I think there is an element of that at TR or used to be.
I have no idea what Praying is up to.
It doesn;t look pro town and doesn;t appear to be pro Praying.
I'm thinking it's bad scum play.
Or she has a jester role actve today and it's simply too late.

Athene is partially clear because her nameclaim is credible. If it's a safe claim, she's made very creative and clever use of it. If it's genuine, she's a wolfrider like me. MSG is partially clear by virtue of the Gonzo lynch, though he should be watched closely.
