They aren't required to report it if they don't know whether it happened. Believe it or not, people who come in for an abortion frequently lie about how they got pregnant.
Planned Parenthood is required by law in most states to report any underage abortions so that the police can enforce the laws about raping minors. But it refuses to do so, and that's a problem, and a criminal offense.
I'd like to see some statistics on that - both on where there are laws like that, and on how many verified cases there are of the laws being broken. If it actually happens, presumably you can point to some convictions for failure to report such things to back up your claim.

Seth, did I read somewhere that you are an uncle helping to raise six nephews? Hopefully they are all religious and take the purity/chastity pledge. God help them if uncle ever found out they were fooling around and were party to an accidental pregnancy.

I hope you don't watch any porn either...you wouldn't want to support an industry that is one of the biggest consumers of abortions.

Their parents have done everything they can to teach their children to respect their bodies, and the bodies of the girls they associate with, and to teach them that they bear all the responsibility for their own actions, and that succumbing to sexual urges at a young age can turn their lives upside down in many ways, including a burden of guilt for the death of their child if the girl decides, in her sovereign capacity, to abort the child. I support the parent's teachings in that regard, even if I don't agree with the religious components, because it's not my place to interfere with their parental prerogatives.

Beyond education and moral instruction, one can only place trust in a young person to make good judgments and then hold them accountable for their actions. They are made aware of this as they mature, and they begin suffering the consequences of their actions quite early in life, so generally they understand, by the time they are teenagers and may become sexually active, that their parents will NOT relieve them of liability or responsibility for sexual promiscuity. They will be expected to stand to and bear the burden on their own, and their lives will be substantially different from what they would have been if they had chosen chastity, abstinence and monogamy.

"respect the body"... are you insinuating that I don't respect my body, or that I haven't respected, adored and cherished the bodies of every woman I have enticed under the sheets?

No, just someone who asked a stupid question.

I'd say asking someone to kill himself violates the amorphous "play nice" rule.

Saying someone is a disgrace to the human race and an enemy to every redeeming quality that humans might posess, so the world would be a better place without him in it, that would be a personal attack.
Definitely.

None of what you allege about any hypothetical person is true about Seth though. Just so we are clear on that.
See, because if you think it is, I can falsify your hypothesis.
Please do.
Is it really necessary?

Then there is no problem here as you recognize that this is just a discussion and nothing personal is being implied--except perhaps for the overextended remarks you made.

So your repulsion is just grounds for wishing a person kill him/herself?

I don't need to, nor can I really show you anyone's sides. Either you see it for yourself by taking in the whole of what is available, or you focus on the narrow view that you are willing to settle on as being good enough to judge by.

How about this?

I would guess that what JOZeldenrust wrote is about as serious as Laklak saying he would shoot his dog in the head...considering who he said it to, why do you find this of such concern? (unless you know of some fragility in Seth that nobody else knows about)

If I did, I would never post it on a discussion forum.

How can you possibly equate telling a person to kill himself with saying "I'm going to shoot a dog?"

Does anyone think Seth is fragile?

What concerns me is that people would harbor a hate for a stranger they only encounter on the internet based on what that stranger has said in an online discussion; and to such extent that s/he thinks asking that person to kill him/herself is a reasonable and unremarkable suggestion.
