I'll be in SoCal in a month or so. Maybe a big one will hit while I'm there. I've never felt an earthquake.

Re: Could San Andreas Be Next?
Since an earthquake centered around the San Andreas Fault would be about two plates sliding in opposite directions, (please excuse my ignorance of geological matters), does that mean that at least we wouldn't be dealing with the secondary issue of a tsunami if we had a huge earthquake here?

You wouldn't have a tsunami because it would happen above ground and not under the sea.

Re: Could San Andreas Be Next?
Well I suppose that is slightly comforting in light of the fact that the Republicans have called to defund emergency preparedness for tsunamis.
