I have to say, I agree with you 100%. SWMBO'd and I made it through the whole thing, but SWMBO'd was miserable by the end. I tried really hard to like it, but I found nothing of the intense amazement I heard expressed by others. The dream-within-a-dream thing was not so complex and not understandable, and the plot turned out to be rather stupid.

I'm not sure which was worse, Inception or Shutter Island. I want to say Shutter Island was worse, because when I friggin' guessed the entire plot when he and Mark Rufallo were on the boat going to the island in the first 5 minutes of the movie, it sort of wrecked it for me. I mean, who the fuck didn't know that he was the inmate when there were only two people on the boat, and he greeted his first partner out of the blue on that boat as if they'd never met before, and of course, the main doctor on the island wasn't around when he and his "new partner" showed up.

I think Leo does nothing but make crap movies. The only passable one was Gangs of New York, and that was because of Daniel Day Lewis - a fucking trained monkey could have played Leo's character.

The last movie I had to walk out on was that Matt Damon debacle where he had psychic powers. What a load of fecal matter that was.
