I have more respect for fucktards like Ken Ham and other YEC twats, because they are consistent in their beliefs, right to the bitter, twisted, utterly ridiculous end.
The "moderates" like the Church of England are beneath contempt - they dodge the questions the YECs tackle with lunatic abandon.
The Church of England teaches that Jesus died to redeem us from the catastrophe of Genesis, yet it states that it was a myth.
So Jesus died to redeem us from a fucking myth?

Why do you prefer the ignorant shitheads who actually do try to damage the rest of civilisation and shove their beliefs down all our throats, over the wishy washy cultural CofE types who don't do any harm?
Is it just moderate Christians that you have this contempt for? Do you prefer Hizb-ut-Tahrir to Mpac? Or Anjem Choudray to Yusuf Islam? If not, why not?
I didn't say I preferred anyone.
On a purely theological level I said I respected the fundamentalist position for being consistent and honest in its lunacy. I don't respect their beliefs, I abhor them and think they are fucking ridiculous, but I do respect the way they don't hide behind metaphor and myth
when it suits.
I think that to take the Jesus story literally there will come a point where a believer has to understand that it is necessary to take the fall of man literally, because to argue that Genesis is mythological causes a huge problem - namely that Jesus, God incarnate, was tortured, died and rose from the dead in reality,
in history, for something that wasn't real.
That's what I have contempt for - I hate cherry picking.
