I was playing Final Fantasy whatever-that-newest-one is last night, trying to best one of the marks I wasn't able to beat the first time around, the Neochu. Still couldn't beat him, and he's still pissing me off :ddpan:

It's vulnerable to Vanille's Death ability, set your party up with her as a SAB, Fang as SEN and Hope or Lightning as MED and just keep using here death spell until it dies, it might take you a few attempts to get lucky with it but once it's dead the little guys aren't that hard to kill off.

Thanks, Squid. I was doing pretty well with it (the one in the trials), but then when he did his Seed Dispersal thing, I was fucked.
I really want to beat this one because it's the only one in trials I haven't beaten, and once I do, some hidden one open up. I have no idea what the hidden ones are, and the not knowing is killing me.
Some of the other marks I've just plain given up on. The little dino turtles I can kill effortlessly now, but I don't stand a fucking chance against the big ones. And then there are two of those shielded magic-casting motherfuckers on top of a rocky plateau. Same- hopeless. Oh, and that huge cock sucking cactus.
Anyway, I've never used Vanille because I prefer Hope (because he casts Haste), so she's not very strong or anything. But I'll give her a try. Will she cast Death automatically, or will I have to choose it manually?

I've been playing Black Ops online, ending up with a killstreak or two, but I pretty much suck at it. I"ve also been playing Mortal Kombat 2 and Lengend of Zelda: A Link to the Past again. I can't beat Shao Kahn and am stuck at Ganon's tower. I've beaten both games before, but I can't remember how I beat them.

I killed it within seconds. One shot with Death and it was dead. I was like, "Yes! I fucking love you, Vanille! I'm invincible now!" Only it seems I got very lucky there, and also perhaps that other enemies may be immune to Death. This bad-assed motherfucker I'm fighting now for instance, doesn't seem particularly bothered by Death. I unlocked this battle after Neochu, since that was the last of the trials. I was very excited when I unlocked this new battle. Didn't think it'd be too hard to take this dude down. I've fought him before. And indeed, he didn't give me too much trouble at first. But then he pulled this big long blade out of his chest. That glows. And charges up for massive damage attacks. And also it takes forever to make a dent in his health. And also it doesn't seem possible to charge up his chain gauge (or whatever you call it) in order to stun him and really wail on him.
I'm not liking this guy very much :ddpan:

I got a Genji Glove after defeating Atticus. Of what use is it? It's supposed to allow me to deal more damage to an enemy. But does that mean I can, or I will? Because I've equipped it and it doesn't seem to have made any difference at all

The done-up version of NBA JAM on XBOX 360 as like most people whether at the arcade or on SNES etc played the original game which was awesome.

I must say the new version is very faithful to the original just dressed up the graphics updated the teams etc. The game play is all the same stuff that made the first version great.

Very addictive i've already gone through half a season and for the record my team is the boston celtics.

It raises the damage limit to go above 999,999 but it doesn't make you stronger. The only time it will really ever come into effect is if you equip Fang with it, stagger an enemy (like the massive turtle you've been having trouble with) and use it when the boost chain is around 800% it'll take out each leg of the turtle in one hit. You get a total of three Genji Gloves in the game, keep one and fully upgrade the other two then dismantle them, you'll receive catalysts called Trapezahedrons that allow you to upgrade your weapons into the strongest form (after you get them maxed out in their second tier form)

Really? I'd say it's more or less the same. The graphics are updated and there are obviously some new units and a new story, but that's about it. 12 years later, and the world still loves the original. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I'm not, but I'll let you know what I think of it when I get my hands on it. I have Move waiting, and I've also ordered the Sharp Shooter attachment which isn't released until a week or two after the game is released.

I just played the Killzone single player demo on the big TV while no one was here. I just realised the cable on the Blu-Ray player fits the PS3 so I played it in hi-def.

Fuck me I didn't realise there was such a difference. I must get a HDTV, dammit!

A friend of mine gave me a run-through of Civilization 5 yesterday evening. I've never really played the Civ series before, but have played the Alpha Centauri spin-off a lot (as in far too much :shifty:), so I got a good idea of how Civ 5 works. The graphics are wonderful as well, especially on a nice big monitor. But I'd probably need to upgrade my PC (again) before I could play it, as my current configuration barely meets the minimum spec. :eddy:

Got God of War 3 for a few days. I completed it before but I decided to try it on hard. Fucking hell! How is anyone supposed to complete this? I'll end up putting my fist through the screen if I continue. I guess I'm just not good enough :tears:

I punched a hole in the face of my TV before  And it was while playing a silly (but cool) little game called Psychonauts

I'm trying to beat Atticus (optional boos)in FFXIII without success. I don't know why. I beat him before multiple times, when all my characters had half the health they do now. But this cocksucker is kicking my fucking ass now :?

For anyone getting Killzone in UK and Europe (not America, though) if you go to Playstation Home and go to Home Square there is an ISA dropship in the middle. Go to it and complete the challenges at the gate when it downloads the Killzone Home Square. You will get a redeem code to download 2 retro maps from Killzone 2 for free.
