Life In Hell

Post by Bella Fortuna » Sun Jan 30, 2011 5:28 pm

Don't know how many of you are familiar with 'Life In Hell,' the comic strip Matt Groening did years before The Simpsons... I grew up with it being published in the local rag and remember laughing myself silly to it back in the mid-80s. I just picked up a few of the original books of the cartoons at a secondhand shop yesterday - I'd forgotten how good they are.

I like the fact that the first comic was written a year after I was born. :D
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman

There is a guy at work and sometimes I need to find him to get him a lost fax or who knows what. Well, I can only think of his name when I imagine:

he is not Jeff.

My absolute Favorite is the strip in which the little bunny recites his own version of The Pledge of Allegiance (what WAS his name?)..
"I plead alignment to the untitled snakes of a merry cow, and to the republicans for which they scam, one nacho, underpants, with Liberty and jugs of wine for owls..."

Binky.
