Hello

Post by DawkBoy » Wed Jan 26, 2011 1:58 pm

Hello.

I found this place after reading about Richard Dawkins' forum being closed. I'm from the UK and I've always been a "natural" atheist. I say natural because I've never had any religious beliefs, nor have I ever needed to fall back on any ridiculous, useless, stupid superstitions. It just amazes me how utterly thick and gormless most people are - theists disgust me. I hope to have lots of discussions and good times here with fellow godless people! Nice smilies by the way. :bb:

Welcome! I'm the same, never religious. I think it causes some problems when it comes to dealing with fundies as I don't know what they're thinking.

Welcome, If I have not yet had the chance to say welcome.
I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. [...] I don’t feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn’t frighten me. - Richard Feynman

I spent my first 21 years in Bulgaria, a former communist country, imposed atheism, religion prosecuted, I had Marxism instead of religion there.
I have a Swiss husband though.

Does he come with scissors, a cork screw, and a tool for getting stones out of horses hooves? :ask:

DawkBoy was a sock puppet of another member here. His behaviour was getting rather unpleasant, so we decided to ban him. The appropriate rule:
  • Sock puppets are ostensibly against the rules. The penalty for sock puppetry is banning of the puppet. However, puppetry should be regarded as 'decriminalised', and the staff will usually allow it to continue while it's funny (or adds something worthwhile to the forum). Puppeteers are not required to inform the staff of their intentions.
We decided he was having a negative impact on the forum and acted on that basis.
For information on ways to help support Rationalia financially, see our funding page.

Thank God for that.

He was really starting to upset me.
