The 50 book Challenge 2011

Post by The Curious Squid » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:49 pm

This kind of thread has been ashamedly under used, I'm definitely going to try and stick to reading a book a week in 2011 after such a rubbish year for reading in 2010.

Same rules as always,

Only books over 50 pages long count

Rereads of books you've read before count

Textbooks and course work books only count if you've read the whole thing

Graphic Novels count if they take more than a few minutes of skimming to get through (I.E Watchmen or the Sandman GNs)

It's just for fun so there's no need to get competitive and you'll be keeping track of your own progress anyway.

Hope this has a better following than the 2010 thread :tat:

EDIT: A review of the book linked to your list might be good too (though entirely optional)

First time I did this I read seventy-something. Now I barely read at all. Thanks, interwebz!

I'll go in for it in an attempt to shame myself into more reading.

I'll try it this year. There's a new library in town which is only a short walk away so I've no excuse this year.
