If it's an inconvenience to Chip, would someone else just ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION? It's not like I'm asking for a rim-job FFS.

Well you are wrong then aren't you ..Unless science is a recent movement or philosophy or clear thinking ?

or is atheism all new then ? Really this idea that atheism is a new movement with our great leader Dawkins at the head is fucking stupid .

and you know that is the case don't you Chuck ? the fact that more and more people can and are saying they don't believe in a god without the penalties and stigma that used to go with that does not make it a movement ,it's not a fad or a craze or a meme . It's the truth . Intelligent people have been not believing for thousands of years and the religious ,at best, have been steadily moving the goal posts ,(their god of the gaps is pretty small now
). Or at worst persecuting ,marginalising and generally trying to save face when their lies are brought into scrutiny .

What is it exactly you believe in Chuck ? Did you chose those beliefs because you actually think they are true ,or did you seize on them as being difficult to disprove with evidence ? Pantheism WTF?just hippy woo please explain why it is so different form atheism and why you believe in it

Chuck, I doubt you will find anyone from here, and probably not RatSkep or the Dawkins site calling it a "movement" The mainstream media may well do so; they have a compulsion to stick labels of groups of people, or on trends in the narrative of the world. The "New Atheists" tag was not self-attributed by Sam, Richard, Chris and the rest...

I've heard claims that herding atheists is like herding cats.

From what I've seen, it's just like herding any other group of people.
Incredibly easy if you know how.

Dawkins lacks a belief in any god whatsoever, and that lack of belief is the only feature on grounds of which he can be said to be representative of atheists. Statistically speaking, atheists tend to commit fewer crimes, be better educated and are more likely to have a liberal and humanist attitude, but apart from the lack of belief in any god thingy there is nothing that defines atheists as such.

It's a movement. Dawkins is your guru. You worship and follow him. You pray to him. The god delusion is our bible. You bash that bible. You are bible bashers.

Well he got three thrings right:
Their God-delusion stems from their bible.
Atheists, or more accurately, anti-theists, "bash", or rather point out the contradictions, impossibilities, errors, and outright lies to be found in it. Not to mention bring to light the true historicity of the book itself - a historicity believers would rather not know.
We, or some/most, of us are anti-theists.
