The above is actually a pretty cool game. I tried it 3 times, and get stuck - I can't get 55,000 points on level 11, so I haven't made it to level 12. My third try I had a traveler IQ of 122, whatever that means.

EDIT - tried it again and got to level 12, scored 59,830 points on level 12, missing the required 60,000 points by 170. ;ob; Traveler IQ 130....

CES can send a PM - he just won't receive one (they can be blocked, you see).

:sighsm: I tried that quiz, and my geography is pants. It's not lack of interest/intelligence, it's just that the stuff leaves my head if there's no regular reason to keep it there. I don't habitually have to know where Dar Es Salaam is on a daily basis (I just got a surprise when I Googled it then  ), so it gets put on the back burner and then extinguishes. It's like my memory for names of people, and that's pretty embarrassing for me too.

I scored 140,883. I made one particularly massive mistake because I rushed one answer and clicked a space where I was expecting to see Madagascar before realising it was off the coast of South America. :hehe:

I just did it again with different questions and scored 253,078. It gets a bit easier when you get used to the speed element.

Geographic ignorance is global. I once traveled west in my country, expecting to eventually cross into Switzerland, and fell into the Indian Ocean instead.

Disclaimer: I don't think Americans have a monopoly on ignorance or gullibility.

I mean that in my haste, I clicked a space off the coast of South America and wondered why Madagascar wasn't there before realsing that the pointy bottomed continent I was looking at wasn't actually Africa. :hehe:
