Re: Carnivale - Day 5
Ambiguity about a win condition, given that it's not stated cannot be a reason for a vote.
Assuming a reason for a win condition, given that it's not stated, is.
Your post pinged big time Charlou.
I was very clear in reading my role pm that there was no town win condition stated and therefore this was a good way to sniff out scum.
Good night Higgs.

You know one famous tell is that the first person to bring up a special or an indie is that special or indie.

So Charlou...out with it.
Re: Carnivale - Day 5
higgs, I became vanilla town when Zigmen died and I win with town.
Back to Callan's question .. town usually outnumber scum so that's a silly question to begin with. Parity for town to win? Umm no, not likely.
If you can explain why this question is okay from a town player, I'll unvote.
In the meantime, have you any thoughts on the scenario I thought of yesterday regarding Mantis enabling irre to recruit and irre not being able to recruit after Mantis was lynched, etc?

Btw, i'm not sure she picked it out of nowhere, callan's comments pinged with me too. Being used to the town and scum win conditions, makes callan's question seem a bit weird.Magicziggy wrote:Could you answer about Charlou?
She's picked a vote out of nowhere.
It implies she didn't know that town has no stated win condition.

I haven't heard that so it can't be all that famous.higgs2 wrote:You know one famous tell is that the first person to bring up a special or an indie is that special or indie.
My special role ended with the death of Zigmen. I'm not an indie.

Yes I have thoughts. It's highly unlikely.
Irre was a cult leader. Oblivion linked the role (unusual) which stated that Irre was the recruiter.
Not much of a role if it needed enabling.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
Is that the only objection you have to it? Because the scenario I have would explain a lot of what has gone on.Magicziggy wrote:Yes I have thoughts. It's highly unlikely.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
Who was Mantis enabling otherwise? If she was traitorous among scum and enabling a cult recruiter, her role makes sense and so does everything else that's happened.

Yes, it's my main objection.
That and I figured the "enabling" would enable something like a blocking role.

Charlou, now it's my turn to be a bit slow.
How does your scenario work exactly.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
The blocking continued after Mantis' death.
Your role continued after Mantis' death.
Zigmen's role continued after Mantis' death (I got his night 1 view)
What else is there ... ?

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
She was described as traitor/enabler
I did research on both.
Traitor views as town and wins with scum. No access to scum team wb though and vote doesn't count towards parity.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
There's no actual evidence that my role continued after Mantis' death.
I'm making an assumption there about night 1 remember.
I say she enabled a scum role. The ability to block.
A scum blocker would have only had one opportunity to block and that was night 0.
