Re: Carnivale - Day 5
I don't outing characters will help at this stage .. scum can just use 'safe' looking characters though, esp when they know who everyone else is.

I thought there was an allusion to 'danger I'm a bomb', too .. but how does that work with the deflection? I still think there's bluff in there.

Charlou wrote:MZ, I remember you mentioning a hit that deflected off you and onto Feck. Why Feck?
In the OP of day 2, Feck was described as Ruthie, the Snake Charmer and was vanilla carnie.
Would a single hit player be described as vanilla carnie?
I'm asking because if Feck had a single hit and went after MZ and if MZ is a army vet/paranoid gun owner it would explain why Feck was garrotted. It wouldn't explain why MZ is reluctant to out his role.
I think army vet/paranoid gun owner scenario is unlikely because Feck was described as vanilla carnie, and because MZ won't out.

I'm Ben Hawkins, the healer.
Read up on the character and you'll understand my role.
I protect. But there is a cost.
I'm town.

I protected myself on night 1.
Feck died. It adds up.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
I fully expected to be hit last night. But I can protect myself as often as I like.
I also protected myself on night 2.
I have no interest in protecting anyone except specials.
Since I don't know who they are, I'll continue to protect myself.

Irre is evil. I agree with her team mate on that much.
It's not past her to set up herself against Higgs.
Even UT pointed to Higgs. There was a definite feel of bussing about it. Pre-determined strategy.
I'll re-read the whole fucking five days if I have to. Later.
I have to clear up all this paperwork shit at work.
Who's says teachers are lazy. It's the holidays ffs.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
MZ, I've looked through the mafia roles and your Ben Harper character/role claim doesn't seem to fit or explain why Feck died, unless he had a night action which he couldn't have if he's vanilla carnie.

I am a healer. But there is a cost. To save a life, a life must be taken.

From the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Hawkin ... en_Hawkins
"He also learns that his powers come with a price – to give life, he must take life; to raise the dead, he has to deliberately kill someone else. "
I haven't been told I can raise the dead, just protect.

Re: Carnivale - Day 5
Is it a random life or did you choose the player who would be hit (Feck)? I guess I can buy the flavour element trumping traditional mafia role adherence ... after all it did in oblivion's tarot game. It seems to be a twist on the doc/bus driver roles?
