Any hockey fans?
Well?

You didn't specify ice-hockey. But I would call that sissy, too. Compared to hurling anyway.

Well, yes, ice hockey. If you think it's a sissy game I'd recommend you watch it.Animavore wrote:You didn't specify ice-hockey. But I would call that sissy, too. Compared to hurling anyway.
Isn't hurling what Irishmen do when they're pissed awake?

Cool. It's a minor sport here, but I love it. Trying to persuade my son to play. Where in the world are you? I wish I'd had a chance to play it.Deersbee wrote:Yeah, ice hockey, very spectacular! My son plays it.

Re: Any hockey fans?
I'm in Zurich, he goes to ZSC Lions hockey school on Saturdays, has done so since he was 4. Next year however he'd probably be required to either join the team or stop going to the Saturday school, because it is meant as a as source of players for the team, and we not going to do that as it would mean a major engagement in every respect. Switzerland has become quite good at hockey over the last 15 years.Meekychuppet wrote:Cool. It's a minor sport here, but I love it. Trying to persuade my son to play. Where in the world are you? I'm assuming you have the climate for it. Major engagement means...?Deersbee wrote:I'm in Zurich, he goes to ZSC Lions hockey school on Saturdays, has done so since he was 4. Meeky:
It means 3-4 trainings during the week at different locations and at wee hours and tournaments on the weekends, not doable except at the expense of other interests, my boy is not keen enough for that, enjoys it immensely at the current hobby-level though.Major engagement means...?

Re: Any hockey fans?
I enjoy hockey, it's the only sport I like.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away

It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
