It seems if we apply for 'voluntary redundancy' we get 150% of the lump sum we would if we are made 'compulsorily redundant', more or less.

I am putting my application in this week. Three hundred people will be 'shed' from the service as of late February.

"appropriated", fuck I did edit that bollocks you know.
“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.

By no means 'lesser beings' mate! I am very conscious, whatever some of the righties here might say, that it is people's taxes which pay my wages. It is I who should thank the likes of you who have paid my mortgage!

Services will be far worse in the coming months and indeed years. I have seen the writing on the wall having been a party to some of the planning for the new cut-down services (talk about turkeys planning Christmas!).

The sad thing is that the vulnerable will always get hammered in times like this.

Sounds like a wise move. Take care and enjoy many good years of healthy retirement! :td: :flowers:

And, repeating a question already asked by someone else: when and where is the party? ;)
"The internet is made of people. People matter. This includes you. Stop trying to sell everything about yourself to everyone. Don’t just hammer away and repeat and talk at people—talk TO people. It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." - Maureen J
