I hardly find it funny, and no because it's insulting - I don't give two shits about that - but because it's not only old (Bin dun bitches) but it's about as witty as congential herpes.

Actually, I think it depends on whether BAA was referring to individual people with herpes, in which case you were right to fix, or the fact of there being people with herpes, in which case you were not.
At the risk of bringing this thread back on topic, the current news is still that Stephen Hawking is still convalescing and is expected to make a full recovery from his recent illness. His team have begun pencilling in future appointments, including a visit to the Large Hadron Collider.
