Re: Simpsons Day 2
My character would indicate that zigmen is not sticking to the Simpson's script.
DP's indication that he was Marge is what he thought would clear him.
I think that kind of assertion would put him as town anyway.
That's the way I'm leaning with him.

Why are we all outing at irre's request? I'm still not seeing any better reason to trust her than 'I'm making investigations and I know I'm town, so there.'
She's flip-flopping with her vote again (4 times so far) just like yesterday - what's going on with that?
And MZ seems to be standing right at her shoulder, backing her up in everything, including flip-flopping his own vote (only 3 times, but hey).
I can't shake the feeling that we are being played, here.

I haven't outed.
I am still waiting for Irre to give some clarification about her clearances.
I've seen enough not to consider voting her today, nor anyone else she says she's cleared.

I've been feeling that strongly since I read through day one. I feel like I'm being played, and that scum are laughing at us for following. Why are we so trusting?Callan wrote:Why are we all outing at irre's request? I'm still not seeing any better reason to trust her than 'I'm making investigations and I know I'm town, so there.'

I've given Irre no information aside from a veiled reference to an item I hold.
I don't see how anyone has been taken in.
I would like Irre to clarify for everybody what she has established and why, rather than creating the illusion of an inner circle of trusted innocents.

I don't mind about the flip flopping.Callan wrote:Why are we all outing at irre's request? I'm still not seeing any better reason to trust her than 'I'm making investigations and I know I'm town, so there.'

That's why I voted Normal, and then unvoted. There's such a thing as changing your mind as you go along to find out new things. And posting what you think while you're doing it.
Actually, flip flopping, to me, looks more town.
Though, I am beginning to have reservations about Irre too.
What does Apu's convenience store have anything to do with all this?

Well, my choices are Mort or Ani.
I'll go with my first choice.

OK, it is clear that no more will be gleaned, so I'm happy to share. I am Ned Flanders. Howdily doodily folks. I was told in my initial PM that town people could have some items (I was given two examples, one of which charlou mentioned on day 1, the other I hinted at in a post) that serve no purpose whatever. I am not Apu, but wondered if Apu had some fish. I'm paraphrasing. I don't know what this has to do with the game design, but it seemed a good way to spot some town.
I prefer the bandwagon on gallstones rather than morticia, i have to say.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
I'm having trouble understanding how there can be a so-called inner circle of "trusted" innocents in a no-PM game. I thought the only people who could contact each other were scum?
And I'm sorry, Mantis, but I don't care if you're ok with irre and MZ's flip-flop voting, because I'm still suspicious of you for your eagerness to save irre from being lynched on Day One. This is looking like a concerted effort now.

Why is no one voting gib?
Did you forget about him?
Vote gib.

I think you're looking into it too much. I was just going off my own feeling of her being innocent (at the time).Callan wrote: And I'm sorry, Mantis, but I don't care if you're ok with irre and MZ's flip-flop voting, because I'm still suspicious of you for your eagerness to save irre from being lynched on Day One. There was a lot of talk that she spoke in 'fluffy' terms, and I just didn't see it.
And it now seems as though many seem to think she is town. What about all those people now who think that? UT? MZ? Are they suspicious to you because they think that?

Maybe that's a red herring.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
Let's just clear up once and for all why I think Irre is legit. She mentioned some ammo, which my character holds. I was worried, it being ammo, that I'd be telegraphing the vig to scum. That is obviously not the case. Anyway, I think Irre got the reference in the list and that was maybe enough to convince her that I'm town.
That's all I know. I'm glad this ammo isn't actually required though.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
Ani's right, of course. We're forgetting about Gib.
Either that or we're being led away from remembering by this clever distraction about the "trusted innocents" and their mysterious "objects".

The jester issue has never gone away. And gib is very much central to that.
