From The Fry Chronicles by Stephen Fry.Too late for the preliminary introductions, Miriam Margolyes had burst in like a beaming pinball just in time for the start of the read. When it was over she approached me.
"How do you do? I’m Mir…" She stopped and plucked at her tongue with her thumb and forefinger, "…Miriam Margolyes. Sorry about that, I was licking my girlfriend out last night and I’ve still got some cunt hairs in my mouth." Miriam is perhaps the kindest, most loyal and incorruptibly decent person on the whole Equity roll, but she is certainly not someone to take out to tea with the archdeacon.

Beautiful description of Miriam .. I could not agree more with Bella .. whether she's referring to Stephen Fry or the woman on his lips ..

Then they for sudden joy did weep,
And I for sorrow sung,
That such a king should play bo-peep,
And go the fools among.
Prithee, nuncle, keep a schoolmaster that can teach
thy fool to lie: I would fain learn to lie.

Re: The Fry Chronicles
I'm having that for Christmas.
(That's the aforementioned tome, The Fry Chronicles, to which I refer, by the way, and not Miriam Margolyes, since she rides a different muffular bus. And certainly not the book's author, Mr. S. Fry of Norfolk, since we're unlikely ever to meet socially and I haven't penetrated his intimate circle).

I have to say, it's nowhere near as good as Moab - it's a bit of a luvvie fest but still, it's Stephen Fry.
Re: The Fry Chronicles
ta, i'll put that on my list. i don't care if the content is shite, the writing will be sublime. that man has such a wonderful way with words and he's so devastatingly, painfully honest.
